Chapter 1: - Introduction
This book, ‘The Three Very Different Women’, is a book that discusses on the types or categories of women that we have in this world. It is written to bring out the inherent strengths, weaknesses, and other qualities and characters of women, wives, the makers and the real owners of the home. The idea to write this book was born out of a discussion held sometimes last year, 2017, with some couple of friends in an auto mechanic village or workshop in a little town not too far away from Abuja, the Capital of Nigeria, in Africa. It happened that as the discussion was going on, that one of the men, who is popularly known as ‘Alignment’, a specialist in the workings and fixing of Car wheels, came into the discussion and said, There are three types of women in this world
, I mean, we have three different kinds of women
. That got my attention as I listened attentively to what he had to say. And he continue in this manner "there are some women, once you marry them, and they move in with you, you begin to experience progress and you will be successful in whatever you do, in your ministry and in other aspects of your life endeavours. And there are some that when they are close to you or you marry them, you are neither progressing nor retrogressing as the case may be. Again he continued, that there are these women in the last category, that when you are with them, life or things do not move well the way you planned them.’’
So, when I went back to my home, I got thinking, and I said it is good other people, especially the Youth, those preparing to get married, and the married alike, who were not with us on that day benefit from the discussion in this little town, as a lot of people out there go through one form of marital problems, challenges or the other. And i classified them further, I called the woman who influences or make a man progressive or successful as a ‘Progressive/Good Wife’, the one who makes a man not too successful as a ‘Moderate Wife’, and the last category of woman whose company does not impact men successfully as a ‘Bad Wife’.
Moreover, I got thinking, and I asked myself, are some women really created to be good, moderate and others bad just like that? The answer was no, then I said to myself there must be factors and reasons that are responsible for these. What could be the reasons or the causes that some are good, and others are not? And the answers kept coming, so the reasons behind having a progressive, moderate, and bad women, form the base, foundation or background to this work and not just because women are three, but the question is that why and what makes them three?
The work goes beyond telling the tale of how Women are just in three kinds, or in three categories to telling us how women could be different when they go into marriage or when they are married, and how they affect their relationship in a marriage.
