he Bridegroom Wisdom is a compendium of divine wisdom revealing God’s strategy in bringing purpose, love, peace and fulfillment to men who have married for years, men having some unanswered questions in their marriages or young men looking forward to married life. The book is truly a complete expository marriage guide and covers in great details what I call the three major legs of the marriage stool called God, sin (disobedience especially sexual and financial sins) and victory. 

The author, Dr. Isaac A. Ogazi, brought in his years of service in God’s vineyard as a man of prayer and the word, pastor and marriage counsellor. I came to know the author as an active member of Cranfield Pentecostal Assembly, a Christian fellowship at Cranfield University in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom and we became prayer partners through the years. Am happy to write the forward to this piece of divinely inspired book that x-rays the good, the bad and the ugly of marriage. The author clearly showed that marriage is good as an institution ordained by God. But the interference of Satan the devil brought the bad and ugly sides to marriage which has led to issues of strife, derailment of divine purpose and ultimately divorce. 

Some men have some pretty deep wounds in our souls because of marriage. But I say that with the help of the Holy Spirit, the Bridegroom Wisdom alongside the Bible will help men turn things around so that they make a commitment to God for a fresh start. The book brings true healing as it gives men the understanding of marriage from God’s point of view as revealed in the Bible. The book further points men on the path of fulfilling God’s divine purpose and seeing the woman as a help meet and one within the cosmos to ensure perfection of the God’s vision. 

The Bridegroom Wisdom gives men a biblical understanding of the family as a divine heritage that needs to be protected and the importance of the marriage vows. Other areas include understanding of the responsibility of a man as father, the issue of sin, restoration of marriage institution by the finished work of Jesus, understanding the woman, honesty and integrity in marriage. According to the author, the victory of the family is a man’s honour, and so when a family fails, the man has failed and his honour taken away. This is profound, and I will employ all men to take the time to read this wonderful book and most specially to apply the principles. The book is portable, easy to read and at the end of each chapter are nuggets on lessons learnt. Please reader just run through these nuggets before you start as they are appetisers to this delicious spiritual meal.

My last focus concerning this master piece is a question to all men. The question is, "What are you toying with or watching on your phone or allowing to gain access into your heart that is causing serious lacerations on your soul? If you toy with your marriage as a man, you put everything in your life at risk. This book will help you navigate your way back to God and help you begin to enjoy the benefits of God’s first institution on earth alongside the favours.

N

o man is said to be lucky until he’s married. Marriage brings a man face to face with the cross of true responsibility.  A man’s responsibility is his honour; his honour is his joy.

God established the family to form the foundation for the man to manifest his Godly image, leadership, and responsibility, and obtain his honour. So, the victory of the family is the honour of the man. When a family fails, the man has failed, and his honour taken away.

The enemy of mankind is after the family, launching deadly attacks day and night to destroy everything called family. Breakdown of family life is on the increase, and divorce is becoming a shameful plague. Let’s look at the US data, for example. About 45% of first marriages end in divorce, and about 73% of third marriages also end in divorce. More men are filling for divorce than women. The average age of couples going through a divorce is about 30 years. These data show a disturbing trend that so many young men walk into marriage blindly and walk out frustrated and brutalised, because of ignorance of what marriage is. Many are not prepared and never get it right. 

It is the responsibility of the man to rise and defend the family with knowledge, character, and prayer. Without deep revelatory knowledge, character, and fervent prayers, marriage will turn a wise man into a foolish moron. This book is written to guide men into the realm of developing these three values for building a glorious marriage and establishing their place of honour. Let me be clear with you; this book is the revelation manual that will change your personal experience about marriage for good. After years of counselling and encouraging men on how to make the right decisions and choices in their marriage, I decided to put together this book to help deepen the conversion and strengthen decision-making in marriage issues.

As a man, you cannot afford to make mistakes in your marriage decision, because the consequences are devastating and sometimes almost irreversible.
