Spiritually Speaking III - Rev. Ronald L. Koch
Spirit
Dedication
This book is dedicated to all those who are looking for answers to life’s many problems and in need of a little guidance to help them along their spiritual journey.
Preface
In the first and second books I wrote I talked about different things people have to deal with in their daily life and their relationship with other people. Some of the things I talked about were religious, mediumship, the Spirit World, what is meant by being spiritual, and the ministry. I emphasized that your way is not my way and my way is not your way, but problems do get solved.
In this book, I will continue to talk about those things with the express purpose of helping you to recognize the fact that problems pop up in our life all the time. There are answers to all problems even though they are not always obvious. Problems are part of life so that we can learn and be challenged by them in order for us to grow spiritually.
Many of the quotations I present in certain articles are direct quotes from James E. Padgett's books The True Gospel Revealed Anew by Jesus
. Because I'm not quoting from the Bible the quotes become controversial to the Christian. The quotes are given in order for the true teachings of Jesus to be expressed not what the Bible says they are. You can make your own decisions from what you read believing what you want.
Chapter 1
My Articles
A Bit of Controversy
The New American Standard version of the Bible use 20th century words that didn't exist 2000+ years ago and should not be used today. It seems that the translator had an ax to grind and used words like Spiritism and Medium
.
Christians forget that they were once bound for a hell fire and brim stone existence before they became born again. They forget that God is a God of love and would NEVER condemn any of His children - even the countless trillions who existed and are now dead, and those who exist in this world today - to a fiery existence after the change called death.
We forget that God has provided for the countless trillions who exist and existed and will always love each and everyone unconditionally. Whether a person is of a different religion or has beliefs other than the Bible's, makes no difference.
I'm always looked down on because I have different beliefs today than I had 10 or even 15 years ago. I used to believe as born again
Christians but didn't understanding just who God really is and just who Jesus really is. I now have a much greater love and understanding of them than I ever had. THERE is only one God. The creator of this universe. Only one God, not three gods in one.
When the original books of the Bible were written, they were written for that time and day. They contain great and wonderful words of wisdom and moral teachings. The Bible is not to be tossed into the trash because some translators got it wrong. The truth exist but will never be accepted or even considered as truth because it differs from what modern day Christian's believes is the truth and inspired word of God. There is a great difference between something inspired and original truth.
Remember the words in Philippians 2:13-15 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Do all things without murmuring and disputing: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world
.
Who is it that gave Christians the right to judge me or anyone else in this world? It certainly wasn't a God or even Jesus. It is the church and its miss-translation of the Bible. It is the pride Christians gets when he/she believes they are one of the privileged few God has called. Pride, believing that they alone will inherit the kingdom of God and no others. That their sins are forgiven and no matter whether they continue sinning or not they're going to heaven.
This has been going on for hundreds of years and will continue for hundreds more as long as Christians wear blinders.
Interfaith?
Interfaith dialogue refers to cooperative, constructive and positive interaction between people of different religious traditions (i.e.,
faiths) and/or spiritual humanistic beliefs, at both the individual and institutional levels. It is distinct from syncretism or alternative religion, in that dialogue often involves promoting understanding between different religions or beliefs to increase acceptance of others, rather than to synthesize new beliefs
. (From the Internet)
Although interfaith may mean that all religious beliefs are accepted and welcome by a church, it's really not reality. They may accept a person as an individual but not accept his/her religious beliefs. Even though they may claim to be accepting, they provably are not.
This is exactly what happens in our interfaith American and Canadian churches today. However, that doesn't mean that individuals don't practice acceptance. Just because my beliefs are a little different than yours doesn't mean we can't talk and try to understand each other. To be hard nosed
and straight laced
about your beliefs is totally against the teachings of Christ and the Bible writers.
Jesus even sat with publicans and sinners on many occasions and never once looked down his nose at them (Math. 9:10). He accepted them as God's children and loved them. He didn't love what they did I'm sure, but . . .
So, why do we have to be so non accepting of each other? We are family. Friends for many years. So, do I really have to believe what you believe or can I have my own beliefs?
People in General
I'm always amazed at how people in general view life. Some have a wholesome outlook that is really inspiring while others make you wonder what's going on in their heads.
I just read a story about a man who went on vacation. He sat on the lodge's porch just looking around. He talked about three different insects and their courage and determination to get where they were going. How many of us would spend minutes to hours contemplating how to complete a task. We seem to be too busy and would rather leave decisions and problem solving to others.
I was talking to a friend who talked about the youth of today. It seems that they only do the absolute minimum at the task or job they've been given - and why not. They never had to really put out the effort to learn and developed themselves to the point where they had to do much of anything. They are not even able to make good decisions. In school, the only thing that was really required of them was to show up for class, get the minimum score on a test, and not cause any disturbance. If they did all of that, they would pass the course and go on to the next higher grade.
Our schools have done a great disservice to our kids and the future of humanity. It seems that we only have to do the absolute minimum and get pad very well for it - even though their always exceptions to every rule. We don't even have to think because our computers have everything we need on them - or do they? If it's not on our computer and we can't find the answer quickly, we're at a total loss as what to do. Take for instance the times we called the telephone company for help in solving a problem with their service. The person we talk to will search his/her computer looking for an answer to our inquiry. If he/she can't find an answer they are at a total loss. We often get upset and ask to speak to a supervisor to no avail. Either he or she is to busy to talk to us or we're told that they'll call us back, they never do.
The really productive individuals in this world are the ones who go against the norm and use there abilities to study and learn, in order to make a place for themselves in school, on the job and even creating a successful home life for themselves and their family. Those individuals are the ones who make all the decisions that produce the answers to life's problems that makes life for the rest of us worth while. The ones who are able to come up with solutions to problems that sometimes seem to be unsolvable.
We need thinkers and people who are not afraid to try. Try to understand what's needed and do what's necessary to get the job done. Individuals who are not afraid to go the extra mile, so to speak, and get the job done. I hope your one of them. We need you.
Proverbs 3:6
The following reminds me of Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
There are a thousand paths into the future, forks after forks in the road ahead. Who knows, when one road closes, another opens in another direction . . . And your soul, our consciousness, leaps over to continue that journey ever forward, always finding the right path.
(James Rollins, The Eye of God)
I know you disagree with my beliefs and knowledge, but whether I'm right or wrong, no person has the right to judge me. Only God. (Math 7:1-3)
Someday I'll know without question whether I'm right or wrong. You say I can know now. Yes I can but are you really right or only saying what you think is right? I've learned a great deal in the last 25 years. What have you learned? Can there be discrepancies in the knowledge that you're not aware of?
I asked Jesus to tell me what his true teaching were when he was on earth. Within a couple of days I got my answer. It was not from the Bible, but from a magazine that's been in constant publication for 160+ years. Does that make the source of my question legitimate? I think so. And I'm not sorry I've read the source of my new knowledge. I wish that Christians would think beyond their narrow minded ways. The new information they may get may just make them a better
