Critically acclaimed author Elena Ferrante writes The Lying Life of Adults. The book became a New York Times Bestseller and a National Indie Bestseller. The book also became a Netflix Original Series.
The author believes that the story holds more weight than the name behind the story and prefers to write using her pseudonym. The book is the tale of a young girl who is on the brink of womanhood. The author expertly portrays the class divide, cruel standards of beauty, and masochism in a way that leaves the reader thinking about them long after they reached the end of the book.
