About this ebook

Do you know who God has called you to be?
Do you sometimes sense God speaking to you, telling you to carry out a task, goal or dream that He’s set before you?
But you feel like you’re not good enough or that you could never really fulfil what He’s set before you?

Then this devotional is for you!

Sometimes in life, we experience feelings of fear. We know who God has called us to be, what He wants us to do, and how He wants us to live our lives, but doubts and discouragement keep us from stepping forward to walk it out.

In this devotional, we look at the lives and struggles of five characters in the Bible - Moses, Gideon, David, Peter, and Paul - termed God’s “underdogs”. Despite their lack of qualification to be used by God, we see how God helped them overcome their struggles and how He transformed them into whom He called them to be.

Through these fourteen devotionals, you will find insights to help you overcome the insecurities that hold you back and to be more in tune with the person God has made you to be.

    About the Author

    Introduction

As I write this devotional, I have been experiencing feelings of doubt and uncertainty. I know what God has spoken over my life, but for various reasons it sometimes feels as if I may have heard Him wrongly. Thoughts that God would never choose me to do great things for Him assault my mind.

I have always taken great solace in reading the stories of the ‘underdogs’ in the Bible. These are people whom God used, despite their brokenness and unlikely pasts; men of faith, women who dared to go against the norm. So, the idea of writing a devotional on a collection of such people seemed natural when God
