    Introduction

The subjects in this fourth book in my series of remembering historical events in American history are unique in the impact they had on our developing country. The information in two specific chapters had immeasurable impact on the action to declare independence from Britain at the time. Chapter 1 – The Federalists Papers

There are a total of 85 papers that were written titled the Federalists Papers. The point of this chapter is to identify the principles embraced in them and their importance. More detailed coverage will be addressed in a later book titled Comparing the Federalists Papers to the Constitution.

Some topics included in the Federalists Papers are briefly discussed in the following paragraphs.

Dangers from foreign source or influence

Foreign influence not only in the early days of our country but it is also a subject that has seen coverage in the media of today. Back when our country began there was not organized news sources as they are today. Foreign sources or influence is a concern that our federal government must

Each state has their own rules and laws but they cannot violate the individual constitutions or the U.S. Constitution. There are always going to be disagreements as the Federalists papers identified but it is how those dissensions are handled.

Without going into details the vision of the federalist papers in particular on this topic really pointed to a divided country as occurred and resulted in the Civil War. It was a difficult time in the history of our country but we made it through it.

The Federalist papers that talk about this topic did us a favor in pointing to situations that can arise. Situations in our early years are different that situations we have today. We have come a long way since then. States have the responsibility and authority to handle their own affairs.

Some topics are applicable to all states and some are specific to individual states. How each common topic is addressed can be different from one state to another and this is fine. The Constitution requires certain requirements between states to exist which helps to have less dissension. This is something that did not exist early on and this is how this topic in the Federalists papers did us a favor.

Consequences of hostilities between the states

It is interesting that this topic is covered in the Federalist Papers. This was as it turned out a prediction of the future as it relates to the Civil War or War between the states and it has been
