he smell of sweat mixed with perfume filled the air as Cyra and Gypsy stumbled through the crowd in their obnoxious platforms, trying to find a good spot to vibe and see the visuals as their drugs began to hit.
Bitch do you feel it?
Cyra asked Gypsy as her pupils started to dilate even more as she felt the MDMA starting to hit her.
Gypsy just stood there in silence, smiling, as she felt herself becoming immersed in a different world. The LSD was starting to take effect. She leaned over to Cyra and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
I’ll take that as a yes,
Cyra said laughing as she took Gypsy’s hand in hers.
Liquid Stranger was playing a wompy set that everyone in the crowd couldn’t help but to move how the music felt. Cyra and Gypsy were in their own little world, not having a care what anyone else around them thought because they had each other and that’s all that mattered. Besides, everyone assumed they’re a couple anyway so they might as well play into the roles, especially so those few creeps that are always at every festival would leave them alone.
There’s over a million watts of bass that filled the speakers and Gypsy felt her trip intensify as she’s teleported into a different galaxy. Everything was so beautiful and moving in sync with the music. The bass was so intense, the ground was vibrating with the wubs and dubs that were followed by lasers making geometric patterns and changing colors over the crowd.
She was in a complete trance as Cyra leaned over and asked do you want to get on my shoulders?
Gypsy just nodded and the permanent smile she had on her face widened. Cyra crouched down and puts her head in between Gypsy’s legs, making sure she’s completely steady before standing up. The people in the crowd around them started to watch as they continued to be taken over by the sounds blasting from the giant amps surrounding the massive stage. Everyone’s heads almost looked like clouds as the lights continued to make patterns and everything seemed so surreal. The stage appeared to be floating and rainbow patterns, that almost looked like mandalas kept forming in sync with the music. Gypsy never wanted the moment to end. She was continuously shocked by how beautiful the world around her was. The trees around them were blossoming and butterflies were floating as they changed colors with the music. Everything was in sync and very satisfying. In that moment, all was good in the world.
Cyra crouched back down and Gypsy found her footing on the ground as she continued to be entranced by the lights. Cyra held her close and they got down and dirty to the nasty beat. Their bass faces were in full effect as their bodies moved to the rhythm and soon they felt as though they had become one.
Gypsy leaned back into Cyra and said, I’m seriously so grateful we get to experience this together.
Cyra felt her roll start to intensity so she held Gypsy close. The warmth reminded her to take a sip of water. It’s the most satisfying drink she’s taken and urged Gypsy to do the same. As the set started to come to an end they figured out if they wanted to stay at the same stage or go to the other one; since they were both in the mood to continue the wompy feels, they stayed for Ganja White Night.
The music continued to take them over as they danced the night away. By this point, they had both mellowed out a bit and were better able to interact with the people around them that continuously were giving them compliments on their outfits, platforms, makeup and glitter, and asked for their social medias, making them feel like celebrities. Everyone was so nice and beautiful. The energy in the crowd was so authentic and positive. Everyone was having a good time and vibing to the music that they all loved; when the final song ended and the floodlights came on to illuminate the darkness that had fallen around them, no one wanted to leave. But the best part of it all was that there were still two more days to ‘get weird’.
Cyra and Gypsy made sure they grabbed all their belongings they had set down as they wrapped their pashminas around themselves and started the long trek back to their campsite.
Ears still ringing, Cyra spotted a golf cart and said, fuck walking, let’s just get one of those.
Gypsy looked at Cyra and smirks, you read my fucking mind.
Hand in hand they walked in the direction of the golf cart, trying not to break their ankles since they were dumb enough to wear unsteady platforms on rocky, uneven ground.
They finally got dropped off, what felt like an eternity later, at their camp. Cyra pulled out the key and unlocked the car so they could change into their comfy sweats, which had been long awaited and on the back of their minds since they got onto the golf cart.
Cyra looked at Gypsy and couldn’t contain her laughter as she burst out, bitch I’m fucking hungry and horny…I’m ‘horngry’.
Gypsy couldn’t help but laugh and say, same bitch, same.
After they got changed, Gypsy washed her face and yelled at Cyra to at least take off her makeup before getting a snack and falling asleep, but Cyra never listened so Gypsy went over and physically put the makeup wipe in her hand so she’d be forced to.
Yo, dude I know I say this every time we’re at a festival together, but this was fucking wild. Like I think this might even top the last one,
Gypsy said.
Cyra smiled, "You do say that every time but I have to agree with you on this one. It blows all the other ones out of the park, especially because there’s no drama since it’s just us."
Gypsy nodded in agreement as she cuddled up next to Cyra on their air mattress, holding Cyra’s boob in her hand as she continued to see patterns forming to the distant music their neighbors were playing. Physically exhausted but still pretty awake from the LSD, she held Cyra close. Cyra felt basically the same way, but slightly different since her MDMA was slowly starting to wear off and she felt her eyelids getting heavy. She leaned over and gave Gypsy a kiss goodnight before completely drifting off into a blissful sleep.
Now Gypsy was laying there while Cyra began to softly snore. She hit her wax pen and the patterns she was seeing started to soften in appearance as the weed hit her and helped her wind down. She tried to focus on slowing her heart rate and breathing deeply, so she could coerce herself into a deep sleep like Cyra already had. Shortly after, her eyelids started to get heavier, the higher she felt herself get and she was finally able to drift off to sleep as the sounds of the RV parties continued on in the distance.

he sun was beating down on the top of the tent and the cold embrace of air from the night was long gone. Cyra felt the beads of sweat start to form on her forehead as the pile of blankets trapped her body heat. Gypsy was still sleeping soundly on the other side of the mattress, undisturbed by the sounds of fellow campers and various types of music that had become more abundant from the night before.
She got off the air mattress carefully as to not wake Gypsy. Her mouth was drier than the Sahara desert; quickly making her way to the water jug and taking a long, satisfying swig. She unzipped the tent and adjusted to the bright sunlight that was beating down. What time is it? She thought to herself as she got reoriented back to reality and looked down at her watch. 9:54 in the morning. All right, not that bad. I’ll let Gypsy sleep ’til 10:30 before waking her up.
Their neighbors were already up and making food.
Good morning,
Cyra waved as she walked over to one of the folding chairs that was set up under her and Gypsy’s canopy, adjacent to theirs.
There was a total of four people staying at the campsite behind them. Shai, Cole, Jeffrey, and Lollie; all couples and all super nice. Shai and Cole had made a thirteen hour road trip to meet up with Jeffrey and Lollie who had to only make a four hour drive. Way better than the thirty-two
