About this ebook

In this reincarnation story, Goovu and Katala’s destined life together is cut short by Trans-Atlantic slave traders, who were traitors and cousins from a couple of villages away. The couple’s home village was ravaged to smithereens. Five hundred years later, and in the present day United States, could there be a chance for the two souls to reunite? After a fateful car accident sends a youth, Jason, into a coma, the young man begins to remember a past life, which now haunts him to seek out the woman of his actual dreams.

I hope to show the universal humanity inherent in all of us. There's more that we as humans have in common with one another than the differences that sometimes pit us against each other. Through stories, I hope to highlight a few of those commonalities. Love conquers all.

The loud sound of his heart striking up against his chest was all that resounded. Goovu’s auditory senses had entered some sort of tunnel. Katala’s mouth contorted with dire sourness, a ghastly expression that so pungently riddled her countenance, which was enough to shock Goovu’s senses back to lucidity.

The cave… Goovu’s fearful voice broke out. I’ll catch up to you! The dark, nappy haired fellow flung his finger out, and pointed to north-east. His thick and furry eyebrows forcefully came together.

No. Goo, we have to stick together! Goo! No sooner had Katala screamed this had she bolted towards him, only to have him pull away, evading her as though she were a petri-dish of all manner of microbial plagues.

Listen to me. Listen. He pleaded with his hands. Look. They’re almost here. I have to lead them off our trail, Kat, but I can’t do that with you right by my side. In a panic, Goovu Muntu glanced back to note how close on their heels the thick clouds they’d escaped were. Farther behind, the dark plumes of Goovu’s burning village towered ever loftily and in somber menace.

Goo… Katala’s face lit up, her chest rose slightly. She breathed out fearfully. The all too familiar sounds of screaming voices in the distance would not cease. Katala soon nodded, as if snapping out of a prolonged trance.

Goovu stepped forward. He now gripped hold of both her arms. Gently, he nudged her forward but her feet refused to heed her hesitant mind’s commands. How do I know that…?

I promise. He cut her off, reassuringly. I’ll find you. No matter what happens. I will always come back to you, Kat. The swarthy, short and slender fellow’s upper lip quivered before settling into a stiff, jagged rock.

Okay…ok, ok. With that, she leaped up to embrace Goovu.

Go! Goo’s head quivered from his scream’s intensity. He
