I hope to show the universal humanity inherent in all of us. There's more that we as humans have in common with one another than the differences that sometimes pit us against each other. Through stories, I hope to highlight a few of those commonalities. Love conquers all.

Oh for crying out loud, get a move on! If we miss this…

A frizzy haired young woman had snapped back, as her luggage wobbled awkwardly. Its wheels, in alternating fashion, rose up in the air only to crush back down to the smooth light -reflecting tiled floor.

    Gate 34, left. Turn left.

The overwhelmed fellow who trailed behind, wrestling with two stiffly packed bags had yelled out to the speeding maniac up ahead.

Huffing and puffing, Amanda and Jeff had reached the check-in booth on time.

You know that there’s still half an hour to go before final call, right?

The check-in agent subtly shook her head in disapproval. Her finger pointed up to the clock, which was digitally displayed on the large screen above her. She gave a look to her coffee carrying colleague who’d just walked into scene, procedurally smiling.

    Oh, yea…go figure…

Amanda looked to Jeff who simply shrugged, as his face mildly reddened with embarrassment. Jeff looked back to avoid the stares of both the typing check-in agents and his girlfriend alike.

    Where…?

He’d started off saying as a whisper, only to further mutter under his breath.

Looking around the scene, it struck Amanda as odd that almost the entire wing that they were in was empty.

Hey, where are all the people?

Her breathing had slowed down enough that it didn’t seem as though she was frothing at the mouth and verbally assaulting her listener.

    What do you mean… ma’am?

The agent would retort, looking up only long enough to have her eyes label Amanda all sorts of weird, before delving back to her screen.

Passports. She quickly added, just as Amanda’s mouth opened up to reply.

    Sure. Here… uhm, I mean…

Amanda fully ignoring the airline agent’s ill-mood, or just ignorant to it, would go on to
