INTRODUCTION

As the word worldview suggests, it is, at its basic understanding, how one views this world we live in on planet earth. A worldview is also something every person holds whether male or female. The more comprehensive definition of a worldview, which we will use in this book, is that it is the lenses that every person uses to view the world on a daily basis, which then affects how one responds to that world, so that one’s worldview will determine one’s thoughts, actions, and words in every situation one is faced with. What that means is that in knowing a person’s worldview, one can predict how one will think, act, and say in response to any given situation.

We are also to be aware that as one grows from childhood to adulthood, one’s worldview will take on an ever-widening aspect, as one takes in more of the world. As can be expected, when one is living at home, one will most likely start by adopting the worldview of the parents. Then as one goes to school and moves up into the higher grades, especially if one goes to college or university, one’s worldview will tend to take on more and more the worldview of those doing the teaching. When one graduates and starts a permanent career, that worldview will once again be amended by the realities of earning a living, which will tend to be crystallized by the time one settles down to marry and start thinking of raising a family.

What is also obvious is that one’s worldview will also be shaped not only by what one reads, and watches on television and on the internet, but also by the music one listens to, and by the groups one chooses to associate with, whether that be in person or on social media. At the same time, we need to realize that all media that is put out for public consumption comes with an agenda, which is to have the reader, or listener, or viewer be shaped by or adopt one’s worldview. And that is also true even of this book.

What we will be looking at in this book, which the title of the book suggests, is that the worldview we hold will definitely have an impact on our wellbeing while on earth, and will also definitely affect our eternal destiny! Therefore, it is obvious that the worldview we hold is a very serious matter for each one of us. Another very important truth we will be looking at in this book is that in reality there are ONLY TWO WORLDVIEWS that are possible to be held by human beings!

So what we will be doing in this book then is to start by showing that all worldviews actually boil down to only two worldviews. Then in the
