Preface
All of us desire the best for ourselves and desire to enjoy life to the fullest. We desire to make use of the opportunities that life brings us. However, if the sort of opportunities and enabling environment required to create the life we want appear nonexistent, we fret and moan as if life has given us a raw deal.
We look around us and wish that life has given us certain opportunities that others have. We think that if our parents were as rich as someone we know then our dreams could come true. We think that if we had the contacts or moved in the social circle of this other person then life would have been better.
We always complain about the things that are supposedly holding us back from achieving our dream. We never look at the things in our favour. That is to say we never concentrate on the things that we have that can help us achieve our dream.
Life has got its challenges, disappointments, dashed hopes, squandered opportunities but these should not be the centre of our focus. It is our duty to focus on what we want and try to achieve it irrespective of the circumstances. Great men and women are not remembered for their timidity or meekness but by the strength of their will and their daring attitude which led them to realize their dreams in the face of doubt, ridicule, challenges and even persecution.
If you feel that everything is against you and that you are unable to navigate your life in the direction you want, then you are not alone. If you feel like an ill-equipped boat battling against terrible storms and waves, then again you are not alone. The ill-equipped boat may not have what it takes to survive the terrible storms and waves at sea and therefore all within the boat are exposed to the mercy of the weather hoping that conditions will change and the strong storms and waves will cease. The truth is that there is no guarantee that they would. Do you really think that you are in the same condition as the ill-equipped boat? I know some may sadly feel so and say yes with a strong conviction that they believe without a shadow of doubt that they are right. How sad you will feel, if throughout your life you hold such a belief. The truth is that you are wrong as you are not in the same situation as the boat. You have power over the waves and storms of life. You and I and as a matter of fact everybody has within him the power to win the battle against the storms and waves of life and create the life that he wants by actualizing his dreams.
Dare to Actualize Your Dream
is practical and analytical. It is based on a sincere desire to challenge you to actualize your dream. It is meant to challenge you to dare to become the person you have always wanted to be or wished to be. It is to challenge you to accept the truth that the hazy image of you living the life of your dreams is not inconsequential but rather of significant importance if given the chance to grow and given the prominence necessary to move from the intangible to the tangible state of physical reality. It is all about taking charge of your own life and the direction you want your life to take. We all have dreams (whether we believe it or not) that when we follow concrete steps to bring them
