Introduction
AS A WRITER, BEGINNING your self-publishing journey can be intimidating. There’s an unending supply of information online and it’s difficult piecing it all together. Before you start, it’s best to devise a plan, rather than dive into it blind (like I did). The details included in this eBook was compiled based on my personal experience, which may not mirror every author.
TO SUMMARIZE: THESE are my suggestions, intended as a guide, as you leap from the edge of the self-publishing pool.
Write and Edit
MICROSOFT WORD IS MY preferred writing software. There are other options available, but I figure, if it’s not broke, why fix it?
We often use Word in our education system and in businesses. It is compatible with editing software, add-ins and portable devices, which makes creating on the go simple. There are also publishing platforms which require a .doc
format. Bottom line: Microsoft Word is popular and supported by many.
Most authors consider finding an editor a must
