(A REGULAR DAY)
Today is Friday and its six-o clock in the morning. My alarm clock just went off for me to get up and get my day started. After I showered, I start making breakfast before my twins Janelle, Tyrelle and my hubby Marcus wake up. I like to make sure my family has a nice breakfast before school and work. A good meal always gets your day started right. Food done now it’s time to wake the family up to get ready to eat. By the way my name is Jessica, me and my long-term boyfriend Marcus been together for twelve years off and on but made it official four years ago and standing strong. Out of the twelve years we had two beautiful twins that are now ten. Marcus is the only man I been with for the last twelve years. Some call me crazy for waiting on him while he was doing him on our off moments but I was so caught up in being a mother a guy was the furthest from my mind. But don’t get it twisted Marcus always been in the picture even if we were not in a relationship. It just got to the point when he decided we not getting any younger and he had his fun now he ready to settle down. Ever since then it’s been going good for us.
After we ate breakfast everyone goes back to finish getting themselves ready to start the day. I take the kids to school since I’m closer than Marcus. I work for a law firm and he does EMT. Our schedules are pretty busy during the week so we at least make sure that Sunday is family day. When I drop the kids off at 8:20am it only takes me fifth teen minutes to get to work. I start work at nine but I like to get there early to get ahead start. I work for a law firm called Andy’s Trust. Its ran by a lawyer name Andrew Sutton. Andrew is known for winning a big case in 2011 that help free an innocent man from jail after being wrongfully convicted. After he won that case it opened a lot of opportunities for him so he invested in a company of his own. It’s been up and running for about six years and I been working for him for two years. My position is called the paralegal. I love my job but sometimes it can be a bit stressful. Today I am starting to make plans for my job six-year anniversary party that is 3 weeks away. I decided to take charge of planning the party this year because I know how to plan a good party. But first thing first let me get my work schedule for the day situated and then come back to planning this party on my down time.
The phone ring and it’s my assistant Tammy telling me that Marcus is on the phone. Marcus call me every day around twelve thirty to see if I want to have lunch with him at our favorite lunch spot call Joe’s Burger. So of course, I told her to transfer him thru to me.
Marcus: Good afternoon baby.
Me: Good afternoon honey.
Marcus: How is your day going at work so far.
Me: Pretty good had my morning meeting as always and I started making plan for our six-year anniversary and guess what he wants us to invite our significant other this year. So, it’s on April 23rd at 7pm a Saturday can you please make sure u don’t do over time this day.
Marcus: Anything for you I will love to be your plus one lol.
Me: So how your day going so far.
Marcus: Well you know I don’t have the most fun job in the world but today been kind of slow not too many accidents nothing major. Remember my friend Todd I said I went to high school with bae.
Me: Yea.
Marcus: Well I ran into him today and he want to invite us out to dinner on a couple date and I said yes because I’m sure you wouldn’t mind. I just gave him my number and told him to keep me posted. Speaking of food are we meeting on your lunch break.
Me: Sure, I got a taste for a big booty burger.
Marcus: Ok bae we will talk more when we see each other I’m going to
let you get back to work see you soon love you.
Me: I love you 2.
Once I hung up the phone with Marcus, I start back doing my paper work. Thirty minutes go by and my assistant Tammy come running in the door and says hate to interrupt but did you hear about one of our next case. I told her of course I know about every case and she said well you have to see this one that just walked in the office. I told her I don’t have time I have to finish up my work so I can go meet Marcus and then Tammy said I forgot you had a man. Tammy knows about everything that goes on around the building she gives me all the latest gossip. But I got to love her because she does her job before she spills the tea so I don’t take it hard on her. Ten minutes later I finally finished the first half of my day so now its time to go meet Marcus for lunch.
Lunch went well we talked about my job party and any ideas he
