Preface
From my childhood, I have always been in awe of people who are successful and lead from the front. However, when I used to ask my teachers during school – how I can become like them?
All I would get as an answer is, study well, pass exams and you are ready to climb the ladder. However, no one stressed on minute details – how to handle stress, how to convince people, how to program your mind to deconstruct any problem and attack it to receive an answer.
I have found that, we individually have to make a continuous conscious effort in developing our skill set, by exploring resources available. There is no set course or book out there that can make you a complete leader. So much for the over-hyped and super-expensive MBA programs that just advertise their placement numbers and salaries offered and don’t really focus on skills.
This series of books will touch on some aspects that help you decode your weaknesses and give an alternative way of developing a mindset, a way of re-engineering your perception to problem solving to make you a more effective leader.
We acknowledge the strengths demure and shy people bring to the table and also offer a process whereby these people can get better results. And undoubtedly – this book is for everyone, those who are shy or those who are aggressive. The key challenge for leaders today is to get beyond the surface and unlock the full potential of their colleagues, which we decode in this book.
There are certain opinions in this book which may not be as per your thinking. The intention is not to hurt anyone buy analyze the positive aspects of everyone’s life and learn from other’s mistakes. Lastly, I hereby humbly admit of being a Shakespeare or Wordsworth, hence if you find the language style not up to you taste, I hope you forgive me. However, if you appreciate the idea behind the book and the thoughts in this, do hit me a mail or on social media and let’s get engaging.

Introduction
We all want to achieve something in life.
Someone wants to be the next pop sensation, or a painter, perform at broadway. Well these used to be the driven by our interest, our skillsets and talent which people think they have. However some people in the world don’t have any of the earlier mentioned skillsets – but have something different, something unique. A breed - that knows how to address solutions to a problem. They could simply find resources, develop a plan and execute it. Till recently, these were to be only harnessed by corporations and such breeds were called ‘workers’ or ‘employees’. They did what they were asked to do, live under the shadows and excel. Though they were excellent in their work, their incentive was limited to some promotions and work bonuses. But the ultimate satisfaction (for some it may be emotional, money or fame) was never to be found.
That was until; some people came out from the set
protocols and decided to do something of their own. These people wanted to be unorthodox, be different, risk takers and be called entrepreneurs
– some people like Bill Gates or Warren Buffet had a journey which no one knew off. No one can create a company like Microsoft or Hathaway.
Some corporations like Google and again Facebook showed the world, that engineers – particularly computer engineer can create enterprises of their own. The shift then went on to coding.
But can the dream of doing something big be limited to coders?
Then came Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs who inspired people to just apply plain logic and see success through. Their aim to grow was never to kick the competition in the rear, but to simply serve the consumer and that’s how they grew.
Thanks to these examples set, today everyone aspires to become an entrepreneur despite a failure rate of over 90%. But most people are plagued by a thought – to become an entrepreneur you need to sell. Not a wrong thought exactly. But some people say – I am not an aggressive sales person, I can’t be that loud
and drop the idea.
So when did entrepreneurship started adding such adjectives to its definition to be successful?
That’s a notion and
