About this ebook
Why We're Polarized, Ezra Klein's newest publication tackles the answer to the question of why America is in polarization. American political analyst Ezra Klein thinks that the political system in America, including the president, the journalists, and even the voters, is full of realistic characters. They make sensible decisions when facing incentives. However, when all of these functional parts and efforts combine, it becomes a dysfunctional whole. The book reveals the psychological and structural forces that brought America into its division and dysfunction. It offers a clear understanding of the politicization of everyday culture.
Why We're Polarized by Ezra Klein was published on January 28, 2020, by Avid Reader Press / Simon & Schuster. After its release, it was included as one of The New York Times bestsellers and a Wall Street Journal Bestseller, as well.

Introducing Why We’re Polarized
Why We're Polarized is a 2020 nonfiction book written by Ezra Klein. It tackles about how polarization, which Klein describes as hatred between the partisan lines, affects the political system of the United States. Klein said that the grudges of the Democrats and the Republicans create a significant impact in politics. The political identities caused by this have consumed the other personalities, such as the religious, racial, cultural, and geographic correspondence of the people. Klein believes that people are now so locked up by it that no more any other information, candidate, and condition can change the people's minds. Klein argues that people are now living in a new situation. He can even prove with statistical data that the hatred between each side of the political parties has been increasing rapidly over the past few years.
Klein, though, thinks that there is nothing basically wrong with American politics. He even pointed out that calling it broken is cliché. Klein believes that politics in America is a collection of functional parts but becomes a dysfunctional whole when all efforts are combined. Partisan paralysis, as Klein defined, is a problem in the system. He said that it is not something that is done by discrete individuals, institutions, or parties with bad intentions. However, merged identities are now affecting and breaking the institution. Therefore, Klein noted that what is broken is not American politics but its
