    About the author

Dumisani Solomon ‘Lucky’ Bapela was born on the 17 th of December 1975, in Dennilton , South Africa. His parents are Amos Bapela and Johannah Mkhabela and his only sibling is Martha Bapela. Dumisani is married to Selinah Skosana and they are blessed with two boys: Cassius Sibusiso Bapela, who was born on the 11 th of April 2008, and Lionel Thato Bapela, who was born on the 2 nd of November 2018.

Dumisani started primary school at Morelig School, Wonderfontein, and he finished Grade 7 in 1988. Subsequently, he started the secondary level in 1989 at Sofunda Secondary School, Mhluzi, and finished his Grade 12/ Matric in 1994. He furthered his studies in 1997 at Witbank/Enkangala F. E. T College, pursuing engineering studies, and he completed these in 1999. He was apprenticed and passed his trade test and became a qualified fitter artisan in 2004.

Dumisani discovered his two talents – drawing cartoons and writing novels – at the age of seven. He would have liked to be a film writer, but was rejected several times by various production companies in South Africa. After so many years of trying to discard this burning flame to write novels and be satisfied with a real paying job, he then decided to pursue becoming a professional writer. At the age of forty, he wrote his first novel Morphine, followed by The Phoenix from Durban, The Calling, Pastime, Redemption and Invincible. Dumisani rewrote Morphine, embracing the concept of making it world-class and wanting to touch people’s lives. He believes that one day other generations will relish his work. He has also re-worked some of his earlier work.

In 2010 he decided to choose one doctrine, in order to be closer to God and procure more wisdom, and he has been quoted as saying, I’m not judging other people for the path that they have chosen, and I don’t appreciate being judged as a Christian. However, something that dejects me is to see people telling us that the bible is mind colonization. What’s most dejecting is to see people of high intellect – sophisticated people who have done their research – instilling the mind-set of hate in the youth in the name of anti-colonization. They are derailing Christianity. But the truth is that there is evil and there is God. All I’m asking you to do is to read this book, which was written with the help of the living God. All people who say God does not exist don’t know what they’re talking about. They have been overwhelmed by evil without their knowledge.

In this book, my question is: What if the Messiah the God has chosen was to be born an African. Read The Black Moses and find out what I’m talking about.

    PART ONE

    Chapter 1

There are mental institutions, either private or public, across the world and their function is to manage people who have mental disorders and to try to bring some of them back to their original state of mind. These facilities have various personnel who play a vital role in running these institutions, including nurses who look after these vulnerable individuals who’re typically neglected by the world. Some of their patients once played a vital role in society whilst they were in a good mental state, while others were born mentally impaired.

Many private institutions of great stature are very expensive. It is, however, quite typical for a public institution, which is owned and run by the government, to offer similar facilities for free, although sadly such institutions are usually full. One such place is the renowned public mental institution in South Africa called Weskoppies, which is situated in Pretoria/Tshwane. This is the biggest psychiatric hospital in the country.

Residing there is a male African individual who’s in his middle age. He is very handsome and is a softly-spoken individual – who has nonetheless done atrocious things over the past five years. He has dispatched a number of infants in a very painful way. This individual has been apprehended by the authorities and he’s being kept in police custody whilst waiting for his trial.

South Africa is a democratic country, a country that has a legal system in which someone is not guilty until proven so by the court of law although, in this case, this particular individual has been denied bail by the judge for safety reasons because of the type of crime he has committed. This individual is very smart, he can cover his tracks very well and, in tracking him down, South Africa had called the experts from the F.B.I. in the United States of America to help catch him. Even with this help, they still could not apprehend him, until they recalled a retired police captain to aid them in catching this serial baby killer.

It’s also part of South Africa’s legal system to test the offender’s mental state of mind prior to going to trial as this will afford the accused a fair trial. However, it’s typical that, even after the good constitution of South Africa was put in place to protect all citizens, if someone is poorly defended they will serve jail time, whether this is fair or not.

This individual has been put into the isolation room with bulletproof windows. He’s been interviewed by a range of professionals such psychiatrists, a couple of detectives who came to record an interview and the F.B.I., which also came to speak to him. This individual cannot see the people to whom he is talking, as he’s sitting alone in the room. The professionals can, however, clearly see him through the wall of glass, which is transparent from their side and dark on the other side. They communicate with him through microphones, and he responds via the microphone next to the single desk that has been put before him. He’s not tied up, after all. In fact, he won’t be treated like a criminal or a sick person until it is proven which he is.

Chloe Pearson is a psychiatrist who is conducting this interview for the prosecution. There are three other independent psychiatrists who are also on the panel to ask questions and record the answers in their laptops for evaluation. Chloe is a thirty-five-year-old white woman; a brunette with long hair, brown eyes and a reasonable figure.

‘Do you comprehend that you’re under psychological evaluation? Or must I read through this document that has brought you here in a first place?’ asks Chloe.

‘Yes, madam, I am quite aware of that. No need to read the document. I fully understand the reason I was brought here,’ says the alleged perpetrator.

‘That’s indeed very good to hear. We can then begin with the whole process. Mister, do you regard yourself as a deranged individual?’ says Chloe.

‘No, I’m not deranged, even if that’s what people think of me. My mind operates extremely well right now. I just get confused sometimes – perhaps that’s being deranged,’ responds the man.

‘Such a soft-spoken gentleman like you – a man of good stature such as you are – what made you do such a horrible thing? I mean, how will kids look up to you after your actions? You’re supposed to protect them against this horrible world, not dispatch them like they’re nothing. I just don’t see that as normal at all. Please elaborate and make me comprehend more,’ instructs Chloe.

‘It’s a love of money, perhaps. Everyone in this world wants power and money buys you everything. We may disagree on this matter but it’s true. For some, it buys their liberty. Some evade death when they are caught by the dreadful diseases such as cancer, buying the chemo treatment which is quite prohibitive to poor people meaning that their lives are cut short while the lives of the rich are prolonged,’ says the perpetrator.

‘What does money have to do with the atrocious things you have done? I concur that money is indeed the ultimate power, but these are separate issues that do not form any single entity. Please give me more context for your actions,’ says Chloe.

‘I wish I could take it back, I really do; this is beyond human understanding, believe me, and it goes like this…’ says the perpetrator.

    Chapter 2

There is an wild game lodge in Zimbabwe that’s owned by a single private owner, although it is not known for sure who that particular individual is – whether this individual is a black person, a white person, or from another ethnic group is not known for sure. In today’s world, one is allowed some privacy and can conceal some information, especially for safety reasons, so this practice is quite normal after all.

Zimbabwe is a country in Southern Africa that was a British colony called Rhodesia until it was given its independence in 1980. Zimbabwe’s capital city is Harare, the currency in that country is the dollar, the South African Rand and the Indian Rupee. This is a diverse country that has mining minerals and used to be rich in agriculture, and the main languages are English, Shona, Ndebele and Afrikaans. Zimbabwe is bordered by South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia.

In the particular game lodge referred to here, there are various types of animals such as lions, zebras, rhinos and many more. This is a tourist attraction indeed, and it’s typically visited by people from Europe, America and other continents. This place has the kind of wildlife that makes it necessary for one to travel in a vehicle such as a Jeep van, because it’s quite dangerous to go by foot, especially alone. It is well known that Africa is a hot continent and Southern Africa has venomous snakes such as green and black mambas, cobra and many more, making snake bites always a possibility.

In the deep forest, away from the lodge, there’s a big yard in which there are various rooms with traditional African grass roofs with elegant decorations. These rooms circle a huge main house of similar design. People are allowed into the yard by giant African male sentinels. After one has explained to them the reason for one’s visit, one will be directed to one of the small rooms which encircle the main house. These small rooms are actually waiting rooms, the main house being the consulting room, which they enter one by one.

All the rooms are built with concrete walls and the African grass thatch makes it cooler inside. In the main house you will hear weird sounds; sometimes the screaming sound of a normal human being. Next to the room there are human body parts, such as human skulls, dried human hearts and much more. The smell of the area it’s not pleasant at all. However, people come here for different rituals – which explains why they’re kept in separate rooms and why they actually persevere despite the nasty smell. It is because they’re guaranteed to be rich. Some may have other reasons for their rituals, but they’re mostly there to procure wealth.

In Zimbabwe, it is winter in July and some people are wearing thick jackets. There’s an individual who’s wearing a coat that covers his whole body with only his backside conspicuous. Due to the wool hat that covers his entire head, it’s not clear whether this particular individual is an African, Asian or European, but the bodily structure proves it to be a man. This man is holding a black cat, which is constantly making a loud sound like crying – like a human baby. Other people who are in the waiting rooms feel pity for this creature. Some want to talk the man out of bringing the creature to this place, and others of course want to promptly relinquish their visit but cannot do so because, once one enters into this yard, one is prohibited from leaving before the consultation is over.

A gentleman finally enters into the consulting room. The room is very dark inside and only the eyes of the man can be seen, but not the entire body – he is almost invisible in the gloom. It is a man’s voice and from the accent it’s quite obvious that he is an African man.

The man with the cat is now grounded, and he should listen attentively because oversight has severe repercussions and there can be no repetition of instructions due to the many people who still need to be attended to.

When one enters this consulting room, one must undress entirely; one must
