After his family moved to Israel; Leon left his home and joined the circus where he visited many different countries. He continued to have many interesting careers when he became a lifeguard in Israel and California, assistant for the voice of Europe, stunt man, caretaker for Desilu Studios, contractor, project manager for the FHA program and inventor where he manufactured a surf board called The Multi Banana Boat.
