DEAR FRIEND IN Him,

Through divine sovereignty you have picked up a three-part parable called Friends in Him: Our Walk of Faith. This resource is written for women with the specific intent of ministering through a real-life love story between a twenty-first century woman and the Lord. Inspiration for this project resulted from a literal daily walk of faith and an eyewitness account of friends in Him. It is our prayer that this resource will encourage and inspire you in your walk of faith, as well as guide you to the specific calling and plan God has for your life.

This book is tiny in stature but packs a lot of punch in power, purpose, prophetic insight, and application. As you read the three different parts you will notice the same pattern throughout the text. You will read an excerpt of testimony written in parable form followed by a step. The parable is written so you can identify with the characters and situations facing women today. The step is a call to action in your personal faith-walk with the Lord. The steps are not rigid, ritualistic rules but rather identified for insight and understanding as you begin writing your own love story with the Lord through the Holy Spirit.

An interwoven theme throughout the entire book is the gospel message presented through present-day, relevant application. The testimony excerpts are evangelistic in their prose. The goal is for the testimonies shared to teach you about God’s revelation through faith and obedience. The steps are written with a discipleship framework in mind. The goal is for these sections to inspire actions that in turn reach you and result in you reaching others through your personal calling.

It is, however, recommended that you read each of the parable texts in sequential order. This first part is the foundational text of testimony and also application in which the Lord builds and
