Interview with cover page Photographer Keith Darch

Keith is photographer based in Manchester, UK.

He is a published photographer featured in the August 2014 edition of Bizarre Magazine.

Keith don't believe in adopting a specific shooting style and prefer to keep himself open to new ideas and different opinions.

Alex: Keith, how and when did you first become interested in photography?

Keith: My interest began in photography over 30 years ago, but it's only within the last 5 years or so that I've collaborated with models and really let my imagination loose.

Alex: Is there any artist/photographer who inspired your art?

Keith: Three really: Robert Mapplethorpe, for his controversial depiction of male nudes (something I hope to emulate one day)

Helmut Newton, for his ability to portray strong women, which is something I'm passionate about

Alex: Wow, that is very interesting Helmut Newton is my favorite photographer. I love his art.

Keith (smiled and continued):

… and Renee Robyn for being my inspiration in everything I do within Photoshop.....she is my idol!

Alex: She is incredible too. How would you describe your general style?

Keith: I'm not sure I have a style as I adapt to the needs of each shoot, but I guess if there's any common theme, it would be 'cinematic'.

Alex: What is it about nude photography that interest you the most?

Keith: It's the ability to strip a concept to the bare essentials (puns intended) and show real beauty through art, whilst hopefully helping put an end to the stigma that still surrounds nudity.

Alex: What future plans do you have?

Keith: To hopefully continue taking what's in my head and making it into art.....if I make one person smile or think wow, then I'm happy.

Chapter 1: Good Girl

That’s what people called Alexandra since she was little. Always with the best grades at school, no drugs or alcohol while she lived with her parents, always home before curfew, finishing second in college, dating suitable men that matched her goals in life and her parents’ approval.

Alexandra worked as a marketing director at a huge corporation for over 10 years. She loved her work, which constantly enabled her to meet many people. This made her less boring every day. Her work involved many trips. She liked it a lot because the work and the business traveling kept her busy and she didn't spend so much time alone in this huge luxury apartment where she lived.

For the past 10 years, Alexandra had accomplished everything a person could ask for in her career, she had become a very important and very rich person. She had bought an incredible apartment on the top floor of one of Boston's most expensive oceanfront buildings. She drove the car of her dreams and could afford any outfit she wished ... everything was fine but she felt lonely in her personal life. Alexandra had no serious boyfriend and only had a few girlfriends with whom she could talk about her daily problems and share her personal thoughts. Most of her meetings and people she knew were related to her business.

Alexandra came from a very puritan family. She was never interested so much in the nightlife and all the wild things that person can do at night, after a few drinks. Her parents were worried that she was almost 30 and had not yet married. Their understanding of the world was a little different and they wanted Alexandra to marry and start a family. Almost every morning, they called Alexandra's phone asking her what her life was like, and whether she had met a beautiful man she would marry.
