From Book: 1 "Stormy Weather"
I'm sitting here like a loser and waiting for the bus to take me home home after finishing my last day at work.

The evening weather is turning for the worse. A thick and wet chilly fog has come in making everything look even more depressing.

The fog's becoming thicker and thicker, colder and damper. But I sit there anxiously waiting for another one to arrive, becoming more nervous by the second. Will there even be another bus this evening or has the last one already come and gone? How will I even get home?

Then a shiny black Porsche pulls up across the street and an seemingly stylish slightly older man leans out the window calling,

"Hey Lisa, is that you? I think the buses might be out of service because of the fog."

"Are you sure? I need to get home." I reply dismayed.

"Home? How far away do you live?"

"I live near the Mall but, I'm afraid to walk so far in this fog. It's scary.”

I cross the street to talk with the man. He's well dressed and respectable looking. In fact, he's absolutely gorgeous too.

I cautiously reply, "I don't know. I don’t want to take you out of your way or anything. Perhaps I’ll just walk."

“Don’t be silly, hop in!” he replies with a comforting, friendly tone in his voice.

“Looks like you’ve had a rough day.” he says inquisitively.

“Well you could say that. I’ve been let go.” I reply looking down at the floorboard of the expensive sports car.

...........Now I was blindfolded, with only him to guide and lead me to whatever he had planned.........

I sat there like a loser and waited for the bus to take me home home after finishing my last day at work. I had liked the job, but admittedly, I just didn’t have what it took I guess or so the boss had said. I was just mediocre and there were projects that I just couldn’t close. It was basically a sales job, but it had so much potential. There were sales reps there making in the high 6 figures and 2 or three of them breaking over a million dollars. Me, I couldn’t even close enough sales to cover my piddly draw. Now I was stuck here waiting for the bus since they took back the company car I had been given as part of the job. I felt like such a loser.

Lonely, I lived by myself in a small apartment in a decrepit hi-rise building. I was still young and only a year out of college, but I hadn’t had a boyfriend in a couple of years. I’ve always been attracted to alpha types, successful and confident types who possessed the qualities I didn’t.

Today, knowing that I was already skating on thin ice, I wore a tight purple dress, loose at the top to show a hint of my firm brown 36C size breasts, it came down and narrowed in tightly around my tummy to emphasize my trim hourglass figure. It was also a little too tight around my waist and butt. The bottom had a lacy hemline which showed off my long, toned legs. My shoulder-length black hair bounced when I walked and it nicely set-off my almond shaped brown eyes. Despite my pathetic attempt to show off my sexy attributes as a last ditch effort to keep my job, it failed.

Although I liked to look attractive, I was by no means easy. In fact, my shy and cautious nature probably contributed to my lack of an exciting and fulfilling love life.

The evening weather was turning for the worse. A thick and wet chilly fog had come in making everything look even more depressing. What was even worse, was that two buses had already gone by me and were marked Not in Service. None of the drivers had even stopped to say when the next bus would arrive if ever.

The fog became thicker and thicker, colder and damper. But I sat there anxiously waiting for another one to arrive, but was becoming more nervous by the second. Would there even be another bus that evening or had the last one already come and gone? How would I even get home?

Then a shiny black Porsche pulled up across the street and an seemingly stylish slightly older woman leaned out the window calling, Hey Lisa, is that you? I think the buses might be out of service because of the fog. I was dismayed. Are you sure? I need to get home.

Home? How far away do you live?

Yes, I live near the Mall but, I'm afraid to walk so far in this fog. It's scary.

I crossed the street to talk with the man. He was well dressed and respectable looking. It was Dan Petrino, one of the top sellers at the company I had just been fired from. No, he was ‘the top seller’ having secured the title crossing well into the seven figure mark. He was gorgeous too.

Well Lisa, it’s good we know each other since I wouldn't normally do this. But, maybe, I can do you a favor? Hop in. We'll turn around and drive you home. It can't be more than 5 or 10 minutes out of my way.

I cautiously replied, I don't know. I don’t want to put you out or take you out of your way or anything. Perhaps I’ll just walk. Looking down the street nervously, I could barely see to the next light pole.

Don’t be silly, hop in! he replied with a comforting, friendly tone in his voice.

Looks like you’ve had a rough day. he said inquisitively.

Well you could say that. I’ve been let go. I replied looking down at the floorboard of the expensive sports car.

Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t know. I try not to spend too much time in the office, since one, it doesn’t bring me any sales and two, office politics and gossip are minefields and career killers. he offered.

Yeah, well it looks like I’ve landed on both. I said.

Listen, you look like you could use a drink. There’s a really cool cocktail bar around the corner, let me treat you to one. It is your last day and all, what do you say?

Well, I guess, I don’t have to up for work tomorrow morning, so why not? Of course, and thank you. I replied.

    We stopped off
