Created For a Boss 2 - Mo Howard

    Chapter One

J aheim, why are you acting liking like this? Kennedy said in a small voice. The whole way home, Jaheim hadn’t said a word. Kennedy would glance at him every five minutes, but he refused to acknowledge her. When she had agreed to go with detectives to the police station she didn’t think that Jaheim would mind. She wished she could go back in time and tell them to go to hell.

When Jaheim pulled into the parking garage, he turned the car off and got out. It was clear that he was very upset. Kennedy saw the way he gripped the steering wheel and the veins popping out his neck were hard to miss. She was waiting for him to yell, but he didn’t. Kennedy was so caught up in her own thoughts that she didn’t realize that Jaheim was almost to the elevator and she was still sitting in the car. He always opened the door for her to get in and out of the car, so she knew that he had to be pissed off. She took off her seat belt and slowly got out the car. She saw the elevator close. He didn’t even wait for her. Kennedy tried to shake away the tears that wanted to fall. She hadn’t cried over a man in so long, she had forgotten the kind of pain they could cause. Her chest felt tight. She tried to tell herself to get a grip, but she couldn’t control her emotions. By the time she made it to the elevator, she was bawling her eyes out. She pressed the button to go up and waited for the elevator to come down.

BEEP. The door dinged and when she looked up, Jaheim grabbed her and pulled her into his arms. It wasn’t like the other loving embraces that they’d shared over the past six months. This was different. His hands gripped her arms tightly. She was facing him, but he wasn’t looking at her. She could feel his chest move up and down, as he pressed the button for the elevator to go up. When the elevator started moving, he finally looked at her. His eyes looked a little red. He pulled her closer and said, We don’t talk to the police. No matter what they say, you are never supposed to go with them… You know the kind of life I’m living.

When the elevator beeped again, he turned Kennedy around so that they could get off the elevator. While he was unlocking the front door, with Kennedy standing in front of him, she could feel the heat radiating from his body. When he finally unlocked the door, they went inside. Kennedy turned to look at Jaheim and he scooped her up in his arms, throwing her body over his shoulders. He smacked her ass so hard that it stung.

Jah, don’t be hitting on me like that, Kennedy said. He hit her harder this time, as he carried her to the bedroom.

Shut up, he said as he tossed her on the bed. Kennedy noticed that he had started undressing.

‘I know this nigga don’t think I’m about to let him take his aggression out on this pussy,’ Kennedy thought to herself as she stood to go to the bathroom.

Jaheim grabbed her arm. Naw, ma, lay back on the bed, he said, while pushing her down on the bed. Kennedy wanted to be mad, but he looked so good that she had to obey. His chocolate skin was blemish free, no tattoos or piercings. His body looked like it had been sculpted by God and He’d definitely taken his time. Jaheim King was everything. He had this aura that demanded respect. When he walked into the room, men noticed because he was a boss and women noticed because they couldn’t help it. Kennedy stared at him, admiring his chiseled chest. When her eyes wandered below his waist, she just gasped. His third leg was standing at attention. Normally, she would have been ready for what was going to happen next, but the look in his eyes told her that this wouldn’t be the ordinary passionate lovemaking that took place every day in the loft they shared.

I want you on your knees, Jaheim said in a serious tone. Kennedy knew that he wasn’t playing. She scooted towards the headboard and assumed the position. She waited for him to climb on the bed like he usually would, but he didn’t. Instead, he grabbed her ankle and pulled her to the edge of the bed. Get back in position, Jaheim demanded as he slapped Kennedy’s ass.

You gon’ stop hitting me like that, Kennedy said while readjusting herself. When she felt Jaheim’s lips kiss the back of her right thigh, she began to relax.

Ken, why the fuck you didn’t wake me up when the police came? Jaheim asked while sucking on the back of her thigh.

Bae, you were sleeping, Kennedy moaned. Jaheim smacked her on the ass. She moaned loudly but didn’t say anything. Jaheim stuck his middle finger inside of her and used his index finger to stimulate her clit.

You think you run shit now? Jaheim asked, while smacking her ass again. If she had light skin, she would have probably been red by now, but her mocha skin still looked unfazed.

No, Jah, Kennedy moaned. She wanted to be upset. She wanted to explain that she never meant to disrespect him, that she was trying to protect him, but she couldn’t say anything. The way he played with her clit made it hard for her to think.

You must think you run shit. I don’t know why you would think that shit was cool, Jaheim said, while still playing with Kennedy’s sweet spot.

    Baby, I’m sorry, Kennedy moaned.

Naw ma, I don’t want to hear that shit, Jaheim said, as he stopped playing with her pussy. His fingers were coated is his juices because Kennedy stayed wet.

    Baby, stop, Kennedy moaned.

Naw, you don’t run shit, Jaheim said while quickly sticking his dick into Kennedy. She was expecting to feel his finger so she was briefly caught off guard when she felt his 10 inches slide into her. Jaheim showed Kennedy no mercy. He usually took his time with her because he knew that she wasn’t a fan of receiving back shots, but today it wasn’t about her. He tightly gripped her waist when she tried to crawl away from him. Naw, bring that ass back… since you grown, take this dick, he said while slapping her on the ass.

Kennedy moaned loudly, Jah, I’m sorrrrrryyyyy. He continued to punish her the only way he knew how. Jaheim didn’t argue or yell. He didn’t get upset often because he didn’t allow people close enough to get upset by their actions. But Kennedy had made a home in his heart and now he was hurt. When he woke up and noticed that she wasn’t home, he was a little worried, but when he read the note that said she’d gone to the police station to speak with some detectives, he almost lost it. Kennedy knew all the illegal shit he was into and she was involved in some of it as well. She was supposed to know that the boys were not to be trusted. They’d watched Straight out of Compton multiple times, so she knew that when he sung the words to NWA’s Fuck the Police he meant it. Jaheim continued to thrust in and out of Kennedy until both of their bodies were dripping in sweat.

Throw that ass back ma… stop running, Jaheim said, as he grabbed a handful of her curly hair. She’d had it in a bun but now it was all over the place. He lifted her head back and kissed her on the side of her neck. Kennedy started grinding her hips and Jaheim lost it. He collapsed on top of her as he came. Once he was done, he slowly pulled his dick out of her and rolled over to his side of the bed. He glanced over at Kennedy and she was already sleeping. He pulled her into his arms, kissed the top of her head, and they slept the rest of the morning away.

When Kenney woke up, she was still lying on Jaheim’s chest. She snuggled closer to him and kissed him on his neck. He moved a little and tighten his arms around her body.

    Are you still mad, Jah?

He yawned, Naw ma, I’m good. Just don’t do that shit again. We’re supposed to be a team, he replied, stroking her hair. Kennedy told him about the conversation she had with the detectives. He was proud that she’d told them that he was home all night. He knew that they didn’t have anything on him, he just didn’t like her talking to the detectives without him being present.

Back at the police department, Detective Collins was still watching the surveillance camera footage from the motel where Ashley was murdered.

Collins, how many times are you going to watch that tape? It’s almost 11pm. You should go home, Detective Smith said, standing at the door. He had had to finish up some paperwork on another case so when he saw the light coming from Detective Collins office, he went to check on him.

Go ahead Smith, I'll probably be here all night. I’ll see you tomorrow, Collins said, not taking his eyes off the screen. Smith nodded his head and said goodnight before heading to the elevator. As soon as he got to his car, he took out his phone to call a friend.

Yo, a man answered in a deep Jamaican accent.

Hey boss, I think we have a problem, Smith said in the phone.

    What’s wrong? the guy asked.

My partner thinks Jaheim had something to do with a disappearance and a murder down here in Atlanta… just wanted to give you a heads up, Smith said in a low tone.

Okay, thanks for the heads up. Keep me updated, the guy responded before hanging up.

Smith released a sigh of relief. He thought the guy would be upset, but he’d handled the news well. Smith would continue to monitor the situation with Jaheim and hoped that his partner let the case go. A hooker was murdered in a hotel. Smith didn’t understand why Collins was so invested in this case, but he hoped for his sake that he would forget about the case.

Detectives Collins and Smith had been working together for the past two years. They’d quickly bonded because they were both black males who beat all the obstacles coming from single parent homes. Detective Collins was 40 years old and originally from Houston, Texas. He moved to Atlanta and joined the police department when he was 25 years old, after his older brother was killed in a robbery gone bad. When he moved to Atlanta, he decided that he wanted to make a difference and help young black men realize that they were in control of their futures. He started a mentoring group and was quickly gaining a reputation for himself in the community. Detective Smith was 38 years old. He grew up Brooklyn, New York, but had moved to Atlanta when he was 23. He was still figuring out what he wanted to be in life so he decided to join the police force because they were always hiring. Smith quickly received promotions because of his willingness to help, and now he was a detective for the Fulton County Police Department.

    Chapter Two

    Christmas Morning

B aby, wake up so you can come open your gifts! Kennedy said as she jumped on Jaheim. After the incident at the police station died down, everything had returned back to normal.

Ken, what time is it? Jaheim asked as he tried to pull the covers over his head.

It’s 7am and time to open gifts! Kennedy said excitedly. She, Jaheim, Dari and Rob had spent the night at Kennedy’s parents’ house. Kennedy loved celebrating Christmas, so she was so glad that Jaheim agreed to spend the night with her family on Christmas Eve. The Jones family was very close, so every Christmas Eve everyone would come over and let the children open one gift. And the adults would share their gifts as well. They would listen to music and bake cookies and play different family games. Jaheim or Rob had never experienced anything like that growing up, but after a few cups of spiked eggnog, they loosened up and enjoyed themselves.

Ken, you know you not a little girl, right? Why are you so excited? Jaheim asked, as he put on the Ralph Lauren robe that Mrs. Cheryl and Howard had given him last night.

Because Christmas is a special holiday, Kenney replied, slipping on the Victoria’s Secret onesie that her parents gave her last night. Every Christmas Eve, they would give her pajamas. This is the day our Lord and Savior was born… and I like seeing people open gifts, it makes me happy, Kennedy added as she went into the bathroom to handle her personal hygiene. Jaheim came behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He stared at their reflection in the
