About this ebook
All right, let's be honest.
• You want peace of mind while driving your car on the Spanish roads
• You don't want to get the 200-Euro ticket for not having exchanged your licence in time
• You need to exchange your driving licence in Spain and you don't know how
My recommendation?
Go ahead with the exchange procedure right now, and don't wait until you get fined.
Have you already got Spanish residency?
Then go ahead and exchange your licence now.
Haven't you got Spanish residency yet?
I've got a book on this subject, have a look to my profile :-)
Don't play with numbers, whether you should do it this date, because your group licence expires this date.
That will bring no more than uncertainty.
And if you're wrong because you trusted what somebody else said to you, guess who will pay the 200-Euro ticket:
YOU
Not your "free adviser".
You live in Spain and want to do things the "Spanish" way, right?
Who am I?
My name is David Ruiz, and since 2010, I've been running my own business helping EU and Non-EU citizens getting settled in Spain. I've exchanged more than 400 EU and British driving licences.
Actually, I've done so many in person that I got burned out, and decided to compile all my knowledge in a complete guide that you'll be able to purchase right now for just a few coins.
Is that a lot of money?
No, it isn't.
If I do the exchange for you in person I'll charge you €240 + 21% tax, or even more if you live outside my coverage area.
While if you do the exchange yourself, it will cost you just the few coins you'll invest in this book.
What can you buy nowadays with the money you will invest in my book?
- Not even a meal in Spain with cheap wine
- Not even one spirit in London sitting next to the Big Ben
- Not even one coffee in Paris
- Not even one t-shirt with legend printed "I ♥ Benidorm"
Not much.
How will you benefit from the book?
When you purchase my book you will get:
- A 38-page guide where I explain the whole process
- An instruction document that summarises everything
- A folder with all the original forms you will need
- A folder with templates of the original forms so that you can fill them out in Spanish (without knowing Spanish)
Bonus
- Access to me anytime to help you out on the phone or by email at no extra cost (my rates are €50 per hour on consultancy otherwise)
How many guides allow you to contact the author and clear up any doubts or anything that you don't understand?
Probably not many, but I promise I'll be at the other end anytime you need to clarify something.

Spanish Driving Licence - How to Exchange Your EU and British Licence in Spain - David Ruiz
Introduction
Let me tell you a story.
I found out about the new law about British and EU (including Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein) driving permits a couple of weeks before it came into full effect, on the 19th January 2015.
As I had previously done, I wrote a quite extensive article explaining the rule, and I used the following components:
1) Attention-grabbing title
‘Warning: 200 Euro fine for not renewing your driving licence’
The newspapers use this type of title every day to grab our attention, which is why I decided to try something different on my website.
2) High-impact photos
The main one: three members of the Guardia Civil – the Spanish military police – one of them sat on a motorbike, and the other two resting their hands on their belts, right where they have their gun.
C:\Users\David\Desktop\MATERIAL TEXTOS\Artículos pasados\1. Warning - 200 Euro for not renewing your driving licence\spanish-driving-licence.jpgThe Guardia Civil is one of the most respected institutions in Spain. When the Spanish see the military police on their motorbikes, we all stamp on the breaks.
I’m sure that you too also break pretty swiftly when you see them on the Spanish motorways.
3) Narrative style
Whilst writing the article I used a direct tone. If you’ve already read a few of my books and articles, you’ll see that this is my style. I don’t even try to be politically correct, skirting around certain subjects and looking for nice words, but I also don’t want to be rude.
I’ll always tell you the truth exactly how it is, or exactly how I see it.
Whether you like it or nor.
Sometimes I like to give a touch of humour to my texts.
Other times I’ll be more informative.
But my goal is always the same: to help you do things right in Spain so you don’t have any problems in this country. And also so you don’t end up paying thousands of Euros in fines.
When I finished the article, I sent it to my subscribers, and I published it in several Facebook groups for ‘expats’.
The result?
682 Likes on Facebook (my record up until then had been 20 Likes).
Loads of new Likes on my Facebook page.
4000 visits on my website on the day of publication (I had never had more tan 150 visits on one day)
14000 visits in a week (my record was 500 visits
