Foreword

This book series has been a long time in coming. Even writing this foreword has taken much longer than it should have. Consider this a formal apology to all of my readers, both new and old, for the drought in Kenny Wright books. Hopefully that’s at an end. First, a few words on this series as a whole.

Bull’s Eye began as an experiment: could I write a hotwife book that was told from the bull’s perspective entirely—a what would AJ do novella that was light and fun, mostly filled with sex with little character development beyond what I could do with dialog. What ended up happening was a sprawling series that went from two books to three to five. And no, it’s not just about the bull, nor is it written entirely from the bull’s perspective (although you won’t see that in this first book).

What I ended up with was a romance series—or to coin an old term of mine, a romantic erotica series. It even follows some of your typical romance beats. I couldn’t help myself, because as I wrote, I fell in love with these characters. Hopefully you will, too.

This one is different than most of my previous work. Fans of pure hotwife content may not be immediately drawn to it. That’s fine. Not everything I write will please everyone, and I promise I plan to publish something more straightforward sooner rather than later. But I also encourage those same readers to stick with it, because this story is one of growth, change, and evolution.

One of the reasons that it’s taken me so long to write and publish this series is how interwoven each book is, and as I’ve learned more about these characters, I’ve wanted those lessons to be hinted at in the previous books. The revision process has been brutal.

Four books are already completed and in various stages of the editorial process. I plan on publishing them about a month apart, which should give me more than enough time to complete the final book. After that, once this monkey is off my back, I’ve got plans for more. So much more. Keep an eye on Twitter (@kennywriter) and my blog, kennywriter.com, for news on that.

Cocktails

The hotel bar of the downtown Marriott is one of my favorite spots to go hunting. Especially just after dinner on a Friday, before the clubs start kicking. It’s busy, but not so crowded that I have to yell to be heard. Pro-tip: it’s hard as hell to successfully flirt while yelling. The patrons are always different, too, travelers from out of town, here on business, or for conferences, or visiting friends. 

Doing a sweep of the bar, I don’t recognize any familiar faces, but see plenty of faces that I wouldn’t mind getting familiar with.

That is the other thing I like about this bar—hotel bars in general, I suppose, but this upscale one in particular. If they are down here for a drink on a Friday night in a city that they don’t call home, they are primed for some fun. 

And I am always ready to be that fun. I know, it’s terrible. I’m terrible. How do I look myself in the eye? It’s easy, I just lift my head and stare forward. I take advantage of the situation, not the woman. Everyone is a consenting adult—me, her...her friend, if
