About this ebook

He’s infamous and known all over town for his complete disregard for scandal, and positively irresistible charms and advances towards many unsuspecting women. Anthony Mosley, Duke of Wales, is also obscenely wealthy, jaw-droppingly handsome, and used to getting exactly what he wants. Until his attention is utterly captured by a woman who challenges him in every way even as he is showing her the passion in his kisses . . .
BUT SHE’S NO SAINT
Martha Andrews is living two lives—one respectable existence as secretary to an upstanding lady, and one far more dangerous battle of wits—and willpower—with the Duke. He may be the most tempting man she’s ever met, but Martha’s got her hands full trying to escape the world of impropriety and rumors into which she was born by being a little bit of someone that she’s not. If anyone knew she was wrapped up in this man, her reputation would be ruined forever.

    Chapter 1:

Martha Edwards tucked a stray brown curl behind her well-formed ear before it fell into the inkwell. She was writing furiously to finish the notes for Mrs. Brown. For some odd reason there had been much more than the usual to do today and Martha was rattled. She took a brief moment to find her bearings once more. Slow deep breaths aided her in settling down. It was almost the end of the day and then she would be able to take her leave. She would not go far, as she boarded here, yet it would give her some privacy and peace.

She ran her small, delicate fingers over the lovely desk at which she sat. It was smooth and polished to a high gleam. The fine stationery she was given to write upon held Mr. Brown's family crest. Martha was always careful not to waste even one page of the beautiful paper. She took a chance and glanced up to gaze at the room. There was a small fire in the fireplace and it gave some light as well as a coziness to the space. The settee in front of it was blue velvet and held several embroidered pillows. Tall windows let in the afternoon sun, filtered by gauzy drapes.

Martha was startled out of her reverie by the butler's entrance. Madam, he addressed Mrs. Brown with a bow. I have brought today's correspondence. Would you care to have it or should I allow Miss Edwards to take care of it?

"Thank you, Henry. Please, give it to Miss Edwards.
