Jaysen True Blood

Jaysen True Blood was born and raised in the Midwest where he currently resides. His first taste of writing came early in grade school with a class assignment. a few years later, his love for writing would return as he found himself with another class assignment, this time a poetry unit. through junior high, he would write a series of novels, many poems, and begin his long interest in writing song lyrics as well. In high school, he would learn the value of tall tales, myths and other kinds of stories as he continued to build his store of stories. upon graduation, he went for a semester at a university, where he would write two stories, one of which would become a serial online for about six months. Returning home, he worked at just about anything he could find, but never strayed far from his love of the story. After his first marriage, he signed on with Keep It Coming, an e-zine, where he wrote two serials, "Tales From The Renge" and "Breed's Command" (the same characters appear with Fancy Marsh in several subsequent westerns. The serial was taken from a manuscript written for a class assignment while in high school). H also wrote writing and music related articles for the print version of KIC that came out for just three issues. When KIC went under, Jay was once again forced to work at different jobs just to make ends meet. between 2007 and 2010, Jay would release "Seven By Jay: Seven Short Stories", "The Price Of Lust: Book One Of Faces In The Crowd" and "So Here's To Twilight And Other Poems".

Blood Stains - Jaysen True Blood

    New Year’s Eve

    (music)

    Verse

    Welcome to the New Year

The world didn’t end as you feared

    It keeps on turnin’

Still your dreams keep on burnin’

    Your planned escape

    Became mental rape

Turnin’ all your hopes and dreams

    Upside down and made you

    Come apart at the seams

    Chorus

    When the ball finally dropped

    On New Year’s Eve

    And the world never stopped

You found that you’d been deceived

The hope you’d placed in the plan that flopped

Made you lose faith in what you believed

    On New Year’s Eve

    Verse

    Welcome to the future days

You said would never come our way

They just seem to pass on by

    No explanations why

There seems no end in sight

    And still you fight

    Why can’t you accept fate

And quit tryin’ to set a date?

    The future can’t wait

    (chorus)

    Verse

    Welcome to the truth

Now you see that your perception was uncouth

    You’re so distraught

No, you didn’t get what you sought

    But so what?

No, nobody said life was fair

    No, nobody has to care

    About your self inflicted nightmare

    (chorus)

    (solo)

    Verse

    Welcome to the New Year

Didn’t you hear?the world still turns

    Yeah, your pride still burns

    Your disappointment still grows

And the fire you built still glows

As you pick up your faith again

And travel where you’ve already been

You still don’t realize that you can’t win

    Oh no, oh no.

    (chorus)

    (solo out)

    Straight Outta The South

    Intro

    Helllll yeahhhhh!

    Verse

    Speedin’ through this life

Not a care in the world

It’s the best philosophy I can find

Yeah party all you can now

Coz one day it’ll all be gone

    Oblivious to all the strife

All I need is a pretty girl

    Who’ll help me unwind

    Yeah one who knows how

To rock me until the dawn

    Bridge

    The Storm is risin’

Yeah and I’m ridin’ on it’s winds

    Lightnin’s castin’ shadows

    Thunder’s addin’ bass

    People are realizin’

    As the music begins

    That only heaven knows

    Who’ll win the race

    Chorus

    And I’m comin’ to you

    Straight outta the south

    Yeah, straight outta the south.

    Verse

    Racin’ down that ol’ highway

    The wind at my back

I’m finally free, on the loose

Comin’ to you live from the street

And you can’t help but listen

    To the music I
