Introducing The Madness of Crowds
As the world progress into a more modernized and technological society, it seems that misunderstanding between people is more prevalent because of different and opposing views. In his book, The Madness of Crowds, Douglas Murray discusses the malign culture of social justice and identity politics and how these ideologies are broken out from the borders of the academe into politics, media, and corporate life. In this book, Murray has analyzed and examined the most contentious issues; sexuality, gender, technology and race. He also argued that new culture wars exist because of social justice, identity politics and it is being prevalent in workplaces, schools and homes. Murray has identified the most common oppressed identities and labeled each chapter with it; Gay, Women, Race, and Trans. Murray has also argued that society is going into crowd derangement and explained why are they going into conflicts.
