    Jessa picked up the business card she received last night, images of the evening flashing in detail through her mind.

    She made the coffee—enough for her and and her husband Ted, who was still asleep—and felt just the slightest sliver of guilt go through her body. When the coffee was brewed she poured herself a mug and sat down in her favorite chair by the window, put her feet up on the ottoman and let her imagination transport her back to the hidden room.

    It had all started so innocently.

    She had gone with some co-workers to a bar after work for a couple drinks and to let go of the cares of the day, which had been filled with meetings and presentations. It looked like they were going to get that new client after all. And her team was to thank.

    It was typical for her to go out with her co-workers, especially after a big day. Ted could have come if he’d wanted to, though no other significant others were joining them that night. He just didn’t feel like it, and that wasn’t unusual either. When she hung up the phone with him before heading to the bar, Jessa felt no different than on a hundred other similar nights. She’d see Ted later, or maybe in the morning, if he went to bed early, which he sometimes
