I have been sourcing property in the East Midlands and have met many types of an investor in the local area. One area of investment that has started to rise in popularity is Rent 2 Rent. There are more investors contacting me asking if I have any leads for landlords with large residential properties suitable for HMO. These investors tell me that they have no wish to purchase the property but to ‘control’ the property through a contract agreement with the landlord. I have also talked to estate agents and letting agents I know in the area to gauge whether there has been any contact with this type of investor. To my surprise, they have several Rent 2 Rent managers contacting them to see if there were any properties suitable. They are offering a contract with the agent so that the agent would still receive their management fee from the landlord, whilst the rent to rent manager would control the property. Through talks and one-on-one meetings with Rent 2 Rent managers, I have put together the essential information you need to start a successful venture. This is a route into property investment that you would think only the rich would be capable of.

Rent 2 Rent is a strategy used by a property
