About this ebook

Adriane Taylor is an ambitious young reporter. She has just landed a new job with Global Business News in Manhattan. She is taken under the wing of Meghan McIntyre, the focused and determined, though morally impaired, veteran journalist. Adriane idolizes Meghan and emulates her career in every way.

Adriane's dream job turns into nightmare when she is sucked into the culture of sexual harassment and female submission prevalent at GBN. Driven to succeed even if it means sacrificing her morals, she learns to use her body to achieve her goals.

With Meghan’s help, Adriane's career and fame take a meteoric rise. Learning from her mentor, Adriane sleeps her way up the corporate ladder. But the friendship between Adriane and Meghan is strained when the young upstart begins nipping at the heels of the experienced anchor.

Impatient to reach the top, Adriane loses herself in pursuit of her goals. She sacrifices who she is to become what she wants to be. How far will she go to realize her dreams of being a primetime anchor? Will her promiscuous behavior come back to haunt her?

The New Girl is a sexy story about one woman’s desire to succeed no matter what the cost.

Just a nerdy girl with a dirty mind I began writing erotic fantasy and science fiction stories in high school just for fun. I never considered myself an author and had no intention of ever getting published. I only wrote for personal enjoyment. But here I am with my darkest fantasies published on my website, Amazon, and Smashwords. It's intimidating to say the least. I was born and raised near Roanoke, Virginia and graduated from VCU with a degree in Psychology. I've worked in a variety of fields including mental health, photography, and IT. You might call me a control freak because I prefer to do everything myself - from my writing, to cover design, to building my website and self-publishing. I do it all! Frustration gives rise to creativity I have often read books and watched movies and found myself unhappy with the direction the plot took, or unsatisfied when the story ended. I found that the best way to have the characters act the way I wanted, or the story to flow in a way that satisfied me was to write my own stories. I guess I've always had an active imagination and writing seemed like a great way to explore my mind and live out fantasies. I often create scenarios based on my own experiences in relationships - things that happened or I wished to happen. Other times they come out of the blue. I have drawn inspiration from a variety of sources including thrillers and other novels, suspense action and horror movies, and even comedies and children's cartoons. Get intimate with me I have always kept my work private but now I'm opening up and sharing my fantasies with the world. Please read my FREE Short Stories and download my erotic eBooks. I hope you enjoy these stories as much as I enjoy dreaming them up. Feel free to post comments on my site or send me an email. Come visit me on Facebook and Twitter and say hi!

"Thank you for watching Live at Primetime. This is Global Business News; I’m Meghan McIntyre. Good night, everyone."

The outro music played and the lights dimmed.

Meghan heard the director’s voice in her earpiece. We’re clear. Great show, everybody.

Meghan straightened the hardcopy scripts in front of her and removed her earpiece. Another live broadcast was done, and she looked forward to a relaxing night.

As she left the set, the show’s producer, Brian Dorcy, stopped her. Brian was the Executive Producer of Live at Primetime, the highest rated show on GBN. Though in his forties, his blonde hair gave him a youthful appearance. He wore a blue slim-fit shirt and black slacks. He smiled at Meghan.

Great job tonight, Meghan. His eyes swept over her body. You look great as well.

Thank you, she replied, pulling one side of her blonde hair behind her ear.

Meghan genuinely appreciated the compliment. She prided herself on her looks as much as her journalistic skills. She was aware that television news was a visual business and she needed to look her best. Though she was 42, she could easily pass for a woman in her late twenties. She was tall and thin with toned muscles and a fake tan. Her shoulder-length wavy blonde hair and blue eyes added to her allure. She always dressed professionally yet sexy, often wearing tight shirts and showing lots of leg. Viewers tuned in for the news but stayed for the scenery.

Brian placed his hand in the small of Meghan’s back. Why don’t you come up to my office?

Meghan smirked and nodded. She knew exactly what he meant.

Brian guided Meghan into his office and closed the door behind her. The room was dimly lit by only one small lamp in the corner. A black office chair sat behind a relatively small desk. A large window overlooked the dark street below. Brian leaned against his desk and pulled Meghan toward him.

I love our little rendezvous, he said softly.

Meghan smiled a broad grin. Me too, she said, barely moving her lips.

Brian grabbed the sides of Meghan’s head and pushed his mouth onto hers. They kissed hard; their tongues danced in harmony. Meghan pulled her tight black skirt above her hips, revealing her black thong panties. Brian caressed the smooth skin of her bare ass while continuing to devour her mouth.

Meghan backed away from Brian for a moment. She stared at him as she slowly unbuttoned her white blouse. As it opened, it revealed her small white bra underneath. Brian reached out and caressed each of Meghan’s humble breasts. She inched toward him again and locked her lips with his.

Meghan slid her hands from his muscular chest down to his crotch. She could feel his cock engorging. She stroked it a few times through the fabric before unzipping his pants. Brian slipped his right hand into Meghan’s panties. He fondled her briefly but could tell she was already good and wet.

Brian pushed Meghan off of him and guided her toward his desk. She leaned forward on the desk, presenting herself to Brian. Brian gripped the sides of her panties and yanked them down her thighs. He kneeled behind Meghan and nestled his face between her cheeks. Meghan gasped when she felt Brian’s tongue tease her. Her mouth hung open as he explored her depths. Brian knew how she liked it.

He stroked his cock which protruded from his zipper. Once he was ready to go, he stood up and guided himself into Meghan from behind. He didn’t bother removing any of his own clothing.

Meghan gripped the desk and sighed. She could feel Brian pushing deep inside of her while holding her waist. Her heart rate quickened and her chest began heaving. Brian was good at eliciting that response in her.

Meghan arched her back as she moaned in ecstasy. Just then, she noticed her reflection in the window. She hardly recognized the woman staring back at her. Her white blouse hung loose on her shoulders; her bra still covered her perky breasts. The black skirt was bunched around her waist while her panties rested on her high heel shoes. Her hair and makeup still held their professional touch from her last on-air spot. Only minutes earlier, she was seen by millions of viewers around the world; she never wanted anyone to see her like this.

Meghan gazed beyond her reflection into the Manhattan cityscape. The building across the street was most likely empty. If anyone could see in the window, they would see Meghan McIntyre, one of the most recognizable women in news, having an extramarital affair with the producer of her show. It wasn’t her first, nor would it be her last act of infidelity.

Meghan didn’t feel overly guilty about what she was doing. She did what she felt she had to do in order to succeed. It had worked for her thus far. She held the most coveted time slot and was the highest paid anchor on the network. Her position had as much to do with her sexual promiscuity as her journalistic skills.

Meghan quickly turned away from her reflection. She didn’t want to look at herself anymore.

Colin Draper was a producer at Global Business News. His dark hair had begun to recede but he kept his body in shape in an attempt to retain his looks. He was currently in charge of the midday timeslot which struggled to draw viewers. He hoped his latest hire could help change that.

Colin guided a young brunette to the newsroom on the fourth floor. He called the attention of those within earshot.

I’d like you all to meet the newest member of our GBN family, Adriane Taylor.

Hi, Adriane! some of the staff called in unison.

Nice to meet you, Adriane replied with a friendly wave.

Colin continued. Adriane will be filling in as a reporter in the field for the midday news. She comes to us from our affiliate in Boston. I know you all will make her feel welcome.

Adriane stood proudly and smiled brightly. Her long brown hair was pulled back tightly in a bun. Her black-rim glasses covered her dark brown eyes. Standing 5’4", she had a petite body with subtle curves. Her blouse and loose slacks conveyed classiness and professionalism. It was her first day on the job and she wanted to make a great first impression.

Working in television news had been a dream of Adriane’s since she was a little girl. She used to set up a desk in front of a mirror and read made-up news to the pretend camera. When she was fresh out of college, she worked as a reporter for a local news station. Landing a job at a huge cable news network at only 23 seemed impossible, but there she was starting her first day at Global Business News in New York City.

Colin continued to show Adriane around. You’ll spend most of your time here on the fourth floor. This is where all the action happens. In addition to the newsroom, you have graphics, writing, editing, some meeting rooms, and of course a break room down the hall. Colin pointed to each area as he spoke. He directed Adriane’s attention to a mezzanine above. Up there you have the anchors’ offices. Occasionally you’ll see them come to the railing and yell down to the newsroom for something they need. We prefer that they use the phones, he joked.

Adriane gazed up at the fifth floor mezzanine. She hoped to have an office up there one day. Colin escorted Adriane down the hall and to other parts of the building. They passed the hair and makeup room, control rooms, studios, and a green room. Adriane had seen similar setups before, but the grandeur of the powerful cable news network was overwhelming.

The upper floors are where the business of the company takes place. You have marketing, human resources, accounting, IT, and so forth. The top floor is for the executive offices; that’s where the big boss man sits. There’s a large board room where the chairs are much more comfortable than the ones we have down here.

Adriane giggled at his weak jokes. After all, Colin was her new boss and she wanted to make him happy. She was eager to make her colleagues like her.

Colin escorted Adriane to a small room next to the newsroom. They found a heavyset young man with curly hair seated in front of a computer in the dark room.

Look alive, Seth. Your new reporter is here.

Seth stood up and offered his pudgy hand to Adriane. Seth Warner.

Adriane Taylor. I look forward to working with you.

Seth’s eyes swept down Adriane’s body to her feet and back to her face. Same here, he said with a grin.

His gaze made Adriane uncomfortable. She broke eye contact and crossed her arms over her chest.

Colin Draper continued. Seth is a great cameraman. You two will be working together in the field. You’ll get your assignments; do your report on location; then bring the footage back here to edit it and get it ready for air. Colin smiled at Seth and Adriane. I need to go take care of some things. I’ll let you two get to know each other.

Adriane sat in a chair next to Seth and crossed her legs. How long have you been working here? she asked.

Three years, Seth replied. It’s not a bad job. Business news is serious on the air, but we have a lot of fun off the air.

It feels like a nice atmosphere, Adriane stated.

So what about you? How did you land an on-air job here at such a young age?

Adriane shrugged. I was working at a station in Boston. Apparently, the execs here at GBN noticed me and called me in for an interview. The next thing I knew I was moving to New York.

Seth chuckled. The execs know what they want when they see it.

I’ve always wanted to work in cable news. This is like a dream come true for me.

    How did you get started?

Adriane leaned back and looked at the ceiling as she reminisced. I’m originally from Philly. I went to Boston University and majored in journalism. I worked for the college radio station for a while. I had a lot of fun doing that and got used to the sound of my voice. However I really wanted to be on TV. I took an internship at a station in Boston and after I graduated, I got a job as a reporter there.

Seth nodded. I came out of Syracuse. I toiled in a newsroom at the ABC affiliate there for a few years before getting the job here. Of course, we young people have to start out with the shitty daytime slots. You have to pay your dues and hopefully work your way up to the timeslots with better ratings.

I want to be in primetime one day, Adriane stated with a confident smile.

Seth chuckled. Good luck with that.

    3

Adriane collapsed onto her bed. It was a single bed in her tiny studio apartment in Astoria. The apartment was shabby but it was all she could afford on her own. She didn’t know anyone in New York and was afraid to room with a stranger in the strange city.

Adriane picked up her cellphone and scrolled to her boyfriend’s name in her contact list. She and Ethan were college sweethearts and remained an item after graduation. Ethan still lived in the Boston area. Adriane hated to leave him 200 miles away but she couldn’t pass up the opportunity that had been presented to her. She hoped their long-distance relationship would work.

How was your first day, baby? Ethan asked.

It was good, Adriane replied with a sigh. I met a bunch of people but I can’t keep all their names straight. My first report went well. Seth, the cameraman, is nice but there is something weird about him.

    What do you mean?

I don’t know. It’s like he knows something he’s not telling me. It’s kind of creepy.

Can you ask them to let you work with a different cameraman?

Maybe, but I’m new here. I don’t want to rock the boat. It’s not a big deal anyway.

Okay. Ethan paused. I miss you, baby.

I miss you too. When do you think you can visit me? Adriane asked with eagerness in her voice.

I don’t know. Money is tight. He giggled. If I get horny enough, I’ll walk to New York if I have to.

Adriane laughed. And what would you do to me when you got here?

I’d lay you down on your bed. I’d kiss your forehead down to your lips.

    Uh huh.

I’d keep on going. I’d slowly unbutton your shirt and kiss your chest.

Adriane unbuttoned her blouse and began caressing her breasts. Then what?

I’d keep going down. I’d kiss my way down your belly to your abdomen. I’d undo you pants and slide them off. Then I’ll remove those wet panties.

Adriane giggled. She slipped her hand into her panties. She was indeed getting wet. What would you do next?

I’ll kiss your knees and slowly work down your inner thigh. Once I get to that beautiful pussy, I’ll lick it, slowly at first to tease you.

Adriane moaned. Her fingers began tracing
