About this ebook

The book includes insightful testimonies and scriptures filled with encouragement on how to forgive yourself and others. The author believes that with Christ all things are possible. She quotes "We must learn to let go of our past and reach towards our future. There is a brighter day ahead of us. "For God so Love the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Jesus has already paid the price for what we are going through and will go through. The bible says "Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God" (1 John 5:5). The only way for us to overcome the obstacles, issues and or problems in our life is to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Believe that when you go to Jesus and ask for help, He will help you and He will save you. In this book, it teaches you how to overcome issues in your life. Whether it is Leaders, Youth, Young Adults or our Elders, we have the power through Jesus Christ to defeat the enemy today. We just have to believe and know that Christ wants the best for us. I encourage you to read this book and let it be a life changing experience for you. There are many volunteers who have shared their testimonies and scriptures in this book. There is also information that will help youth through their bullying experiences and other experiences they may have encountered. Try to relax and enjoy your journey in what God has for you. Revelation 1: 8

⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

    Isaiah 53: 5

⁵ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

    John 3: 16

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    Matthew 11: 28–29

²⁸ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

²⁹ Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

    Personal Prayer

Dear Lord, as I begin to read and study this book, help and teach me how to have an open mind and heart. Lord, I have been hurting for a long time. I want to forgive, but I’m finding it hard to forgive myself and others. Lord, help me be patient with you and myself as I go through this journey of forgiveness. Thank you in advance for helping me to forgive myself and others in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    Matthew 7: 7–11

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

⁸ For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

⁹ Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

¹⁰ Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

¹¹ If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

    Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And wisdom to know the difference.

    Amen.

    Dedication

I dedicate this book to Jesus Christ who is my Lord and Saviour. I was lost, but now I am found. I was blind, but now I see. Thank you, God, for saving me. I also thank my husband Dennis and son Adrian for their support and love throughout the years. Thank you also to the many volunteers that shared their testimonies in this book.

    Psalms 27

¹ The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

² When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

³ Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

⁴ One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

⁵ For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

⁶ And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

⁷ Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

⁸ When thou saidst, seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.

⁹ Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

¹⁰ When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

¹¹ Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

¹² Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

¹³ I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

¹⁴ Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
