Darkness into Light

About this ebook
This collection of poetry does not describe victory. These poems originate in the poet’s lifelong struggle with depression, her experience of wrestling with mental illness. Depression and Bipolar Disorder were the defining struggles of her final decade of life, shaping much of her writing. Tragically, the darkness of her depression became too great for her on a dark December night when she took her own life.
However, neither does this collection describe defeat. Despite the darkness with which A.L.S. Vossler lived on a regular basis, the light still shines through these pages. There is hope, comfort, and peace in the darkness of depression. These poems make it clear that the light does not come from within, but shines from the outside, illuminating the darkest corners of depression, chasing away the shadows.
If you are struggling through the darkness of life, this may show you a path to the light.
