Bailey Bradford

A native Texan, Bailey spends her days spinning stories around in her head, which has contributed to more than one incident of tripping over her own feet. Evenings are reserved for pounding away at the keyboard, as are early morning hours. Sleep? Doesn't happen much. Writing is too much fun, and there are too many characters bouncing about, tapping on Bailey's brain demanding to be let out. Caffeine and chocolate are permanent fixtures in Bailey's office and are never far from hand at any given time. Removing either of those necessities from Bailey's presence can result in what is known as A Very, Very Scary Bailey and is not advised under any circumstances.

    Chapter Ten

Having Benji pop in for conversation and blowjobs helped John to have a better beginning to his week than he usually did. After being alone for as long as he had been, John was quickly becoming addicted to having company over. Not just any company, but he wouldn’t dwell on that. Benji had been clear about what he could handle.

It was still difficult for John to accept that the line was so clearly drawn on their friendship, yet he knew if he wanted any of Benji’s time, he had to let the man set the limits.

John told himself that repeatedly. Benji couldn’t deal with a relationship, but John found himself wanting more. Yes, Benji had been hurt, but John hadn’t done it, and though he’d been promiscuous at one time, he hadn’t ever cheated on anyone. Explaining that to Benji would have to wait. John knew he needed to be patient.

He even thought about skipping the weekly family dinner, but he’d already mentioned to Benji that he went and ate with his family every Wednesday. Backing out might have made Benji suspect that John had feelings for him other than those of lust and friendship.

John was afraid that was becoming the case. On Wednesday, he dragged Henry to dinner with him, knowing his siblings and parents would pelt Henry with questions instead of him. The trade-off was that John had to deal with Henry asking him questions as soon as John picked him up.

How do you like having a friend with benefits? Henry asked right off the bat as he got in the truck.

John scowled and waited for Henry to buckle up. It’s not like that.

Henry rolled his eyes. "Okay, so he’s not even a
