This is directly typed up out of my diary. In this version I made corrections to my spelling errors typos and grammar, and also changed the names of who was involved to keep them anonymous.  I have had many awesome experiences and this is one of the many... of my  best experiences I ever had.  To bad a diary entry can not catch the real excitement of the

Lightning Struck

I was playing on my keyboard changing rhythms, and then I

felt the ground shake and saw three flashes then a snakelike flash

through the window to behind me & felt my hands go numb, so I pulled

away from the keyboard. as I yanked my power surge cord with all the

little plug ins on it... I was pulling all my plugs with it as I had pulled away.

unplugging them all simultaneously.. and heard some buzzing

sounds some high pitched cracks and some more

flashes. I saw a huge spark leap out of the ceiling at the same time

it turned into rolling balls with the earsplitting thunderclap. When

I saw the spark I flew down to the ground and looked at it heard the

thunder and said,

Am I dead Yet?

I then stood up as fast as I could

and noticed that the lights flickered on and off at least 6 times

while everyone was running for the door with the sounds of the interconnected and wired smoke

alarms beeping faster than they ever beeped before slowing gradually

slowing to their normal speed and stopping. When everyone was running

for the door they came through the kitchen through the dining room to

the door. I had thought this was odd..as there is a door in the kitchen. Why not, run out of that one? ... The lights came back on

and there wasn't a fire. So everybody looked at each other and ran

through the house trying to find out where lightning had struck. As something did smell funny.... None of us

could find anything so we started to turn things on and off seeing if

it still works. We all smelled something in the kitchen burning. Edadu

said it was pizza, but to me it smelt like plastic or rubber. I told

Edadu and he checked the phone. Lightning fried our cordless phone.

It had literally melted the rubber and plastic around the outside of it.. and was still smoking..

But it was cool enough for us to pick up and set outside on the front porch...

At first that's all we could find. Our neighbor, came

with his kids, of course we all had to tell about the lightning.

Our neighbor was talking to us and we couldn't figure out what else was

struck. He had then asked if any part of the copying machine was

supposed to be black. Well sure enough right around the on/off switch

It was black. It was black as if there were smoke stained around the

switch. The lightning blew a fuse in the fuse box of the house

and the electric fence. Later we discovered the lightning took out my

backroom TV and VCR that I just hooked up two days ago. (Man that

really sucks.) I went into the TV room and saw that they had severe T-

storm warnings out for Grant and Iowa. 2 hrs. after that

was a warning for, Us, as listed as Green, Dane, and
