    •1¾ yards white-with-gold dot*

    •2¼ yards black print*

    •1¾ yards black and gold paisley print*

    •1¼ yards gold paisley*

    •1 yard gold-and-white herringbone*

    •Backing to size

    •Batting to size*

    •Thread

    •Basic sewing tools and supplies

    *Fabrics from Benartex and Warm & White batting from The Warm Company used to make sample.

    Project Notes

    Read all instructions before beginning this project.

    Stitch right sides together using a ¼" seam allowance unless otherwise specified.

    Materials and cutting lists assume 40" of usable fabric width for yardage.

    WOF – width of fabric

    Cutting

    From white-with-gold dot cut:

    •44 (3") A squares

    •12 (5½") B squares

    From black print cut:

    •4 (3") E squares

    •12 (5½") F squares

    •7 (2½") H/I strips, stitch short ends to short ends, then subcut into:

    2 (2½ × 60½) H and 2 (2½ × 64½) I border strips

    •8 (2¼" × WOF) binding strips

    From gold paisley cut:

    From gold-and-white herringbone cut:

    •4 (5½") K squares

    From black-and-gold paisley cut:

    •4 (10½") M squares

    •7 (4½") N/O strips, stitch short ends to short ends, then subcut into

    2 (4½ X 64½) N and 2 (4½ × 72½) O border strips

    Completing the Blocks

    1. Stitch one C HST to one J HST as shown in Figure 1. Press. Make 48.
