      Inside the Florissa and Eugene Hoolibasse Memorial Skating Rink locker room, Jill Belli and Gigi Yamaha tied on their freshly polished white skates. They were wearing their training outfits—tiny white skirts with sequins and white tights.

      Are you sure Charlie is here? said Jill.

      Not sure, Gigi said. But I heard he was supposed to be.

      Open skating? Jill replied. I don't get it.

      Well, you know he quit the team.
