Chapter One:
I can only imagine
A forewarning, since this is my story - my perspective. I think that entails it being from my selfish point of view. My name is Matthew Corvid, or M-0108. I have been assimilated by the Dimensional Military Front. A multi-versal war machine that grows with every conquered Earth.
My earth didn’t last ten seconds against their soldiers called Acolytes. Our air forces were cut down by the insect-like drone planes called stingers. Our leaders were terminated right before us with speed and efficiency. None of us had the time to gasp or become shocked by the display of brains splattering on the front lawn of the White House and every other capital of the world. Those of us with disabilities were collected up by these acolytes. In their black armor and
alien looking helmets.
I swear, I believed we were about to ghosted like the Jewish community during the Holocaust. It came as an unreal surprise that we were the ones to be processed for acolyte conditioning. Being five foot, ten and over three hundred pounds. I couldn’t imagine myself being able to fit into those suits of combat armor. The lady in front of me passed out because of her nerves -- they didn’t stop a beat from seeing that.
She was scooped up and put into nests as they were called and goop covered her unconscious form. Glowing and pulsing with the lady inside. I began to sweat something fierce not knowing what the hell would come out of these nests. Would it even be human? I felt my knees go weak, but the medical technicians, hoisted my sweaty fat ass up and plopped me into of those smelly nests. I panicked, I struggled, I felt faint and a sudden weight on my chest followed by pain. Then...it all went black. When I woke up, nothing felt the same. I felt lighter, my nose didn’t feel congested.
I could breathe easier and the absence of the hundred and forty-five pounds from my body was a huge plus. The negatives, the damnable text appearing before my vision. I felt like Robocop just coming online. Except, I felt a presence calming me and opening my mind to what was going on. I had gone through the sacrifice and was found worthy. My body and mind had been enhanced by the blessing. A digital intelligence existed alongside my core personality. Operating trillions of nano-machines running through my body and calibrating my new heart. I didn’t feel the thump-thump of a heartbeat. I didn’t hear any sound. I just felt wired. Like I inhaled cocaine, heroin, and whole bag of weed at once.
I was aware of everything. No, I should say that everything I missed before became clearer. Every voice, conversation. Even small dust particles that traveled through the air. Standing up from the warm yet comfortable bed they had me on.
I didn’t hear the usual pop sounds from my joints. My back didn’t ache nor did my knees. My glasses that once covered my near sighted blue eyes were gone. My large head was smaller, the dimensions of my face were different to the touch of my fingertips. I looked down expecting cellulite and fat hairy legs with big feet. The cellulite was gone; my legs were thick yet toned. My feet were still big.
So were...some other things. When I spoke, my voice had a deeper tone to it. I
stretched to see how flexible I was now. I couldn’t touch my toes before. I could do limited stretches, that’s all. Yet, here I was doing them easily. I could even lift my whole body off the ground with just my fingertips. My feet in the air, toes pointed to the ceiling. Are you done showing off M-0108?
said a lovely voice. I looked to see some sexy thick legs and launched myself in the air. Doing a reverse somersault onto the edge of the bed. Who are you?
I said. I looked at lady whom the legs belonged to. She had a thick and toned body. Short light brown hair and brown eyes.
I’m D-7506, I’m your superior officer. Now get off that damn bed and grab your clothes!
I didn’t like her tone, but she was hot nonetheless. I looked around, not knowing what the hell was I looking for. She walked passed me and touched what I guess was supposed to be a weird looking locker. That is if beetle wings
