The Great Little Lion: The Loss of a Treasure
()
About this ebook
Toby was stuck in a horror routine. His life, somehow, was difficult. It was the breakable toy of an abuser, better known as Koko or The Biggest Lion School; the fool of the Nature Reserve; the most "incompetent" teenage lion in the School of Hunters and the least sociable lion in history.
But with the arrival of Sasá, the tigress, as a new student, Toby's life was about to take a turn. And Sasá was willing to give him the slight push he needed. Which meant that Toby had to break his routine and go out to face the world on his own. He had to acquire skills, both physical and mental, for that change to take place and become the Great Lion that has always been.
Has Toby been able to overcome his obstacles? Or will he always be a victim of his own circumstances? O is he the guilty of his tragedy?

Synopsis
Every story has its own begins and the Toby’s not the exception. His story started the migration day, the first of many changes. For him, it was an adventure that stopped being one when reality turned him a victim of the circumstances...or was it his own fault?
He took a path so that everything would be and feel the same as before, but he did not realize that the path he had chosen would take him farther than he had arrived and that he would gain more from the self he had lost.
Passage of time
After months of waiting, the day of the Twentieth Game Claws and Fangs Zekúm had arrived. All competitors were ready to start the game. In most of them, it could see an excess of confidence; since the competition required strength, dexterity, and strategy, and they thought they had those qualities to spare.
Among the competitors, there was Toby, the smallest lion of all. He was afraid; it could be seen in his clumsy actions, but he was willing to beat the rest. The reason was not that he had confidence; it was to recover it, to bring it back to his life.
I'll start his story like the stories of yesteryear, with a Once upon a time...
Chapter One
Once upon a time
Losing your own identity and being aware of it is terrifying.
You usually look for the most relevant answers about yourself from the outside.
But I realize that you don’t have to go far.
You have to go deep.
Once upon a time, there was a little lion, named Toby, from a very distant, beautiful and full of life land.
He was born in The Great Nature Reserve and lived next to his parents, Lennox and Aba, his older brother Yuyo, and other thousands of wild animals. But a fence of feets height and miles in length had divided them from the village because the reserve was reduced by the inhabitants. One part of it was protected and the other treated in many possible ways, proving that human being is incapable of balancing his own good without affecting others.
It was a very common day in his life. He was playing secretly with his only friends that his father considered that a lion of his class shouldn’t have. Unfortunately for Lennox, the Pino and Reggy's family had built their burrow a few miles away from theirs.
It was only a few minutes left before Toby and his family moved away from the 'Desert' full of animals, little or nothing interesting to Lennox, to be closer to a better landscape filled with animals of all kinds and, in most, at the height of one of the best-known hunters and guardians who protected the Nature Reserve with the strength of his claws and fangs as Zekum had done-the hero and the legend before dying.
Toby! Toby!
Yuyo interrupted his brother's game from the distance.
He was trying to find out which of the ten holes were hiding his hedgehog friends. It was an easy guess because each one of them had his own essence and, though they tried to fool him, he listened to their steps every time they changed places.
Toby felt sad. It was time to say goodbye to his two great little friends, not knowing if it was forever or it was just for a while. Immediately, he wished he didn't have to move so he wouldn't have to say goodbye. He didn't know what to say, what to do, or why was it so complicated to say or do something.
Toby!
Yuyo yelled at him and he got scared, taking him out of his inner world.
I'm coming!
He screamed to his brother quick as possible. Then, he added the hedgehogs as an apology. I must go.
His friends came out of their holes, right in those that Toby knew they were hidden. The look in their eyes showed that they had no idea what to say either.
After a while of silence:
Here you are,
Yuyo murmured with a brief relief. Then He added already annoying Hurry up! Dad will come home at any time and you don't want to see him angry.
Bye Toby
Reggy said.
Bye guys
he answered.
Good luck,
Pino added and felt uncomfortable with Yuyo's presence that always thought that he was intimidating because he was alike to his father: big and strong physically, and with an impassive attitude (not in everything).
Goodbye,
Yuyo said and then he walked away with his brother, let the hedgehogs shocked for his sudden kindness.
