    'The Answer at the X' is a short story set in a post-apocalyptic world a lot like our own. The story is part of the Legacy Collection, a series-in-planning of short stories and novellas set in this world, that may eventually shed some light on what actually happened when it all came crashing down.

    This is the first short story published from this collection. An earlier version of this story was available for free on Wattpad. A short, unedited, free sample remains there.

    Ark Reynes was born in Bergen, Norway, on June 23rd, 1983. She has a master's degree in archaeology, and therefore felt it was only natural that she started working as an insurance advisor. Always a bit of a book-worm, it wasn't until she picked up 'The Eye of the World' by Robert Jordan, that her love for fantasy was born.She's known she wanted to become a writer for years, and has several massive projects that she's working on. To give herself a break from those, she also likes to challenge herself to write shorter stories, ones that perhaps doesn't need at least three sequels and a movie. That is still a bit of a work in project.She now lives just outside Bergen, in a flat she shares with her dog Moya, and more book that she has shelves to put them on.
