Foreword

What does it take to change the world? Now, wait, let me back up. That might seem like a loaded question. There are so many things all around us that tell us that world-changing is this difficult process that only a select few are lucky enough to experience. Think about it, you see it all the time. Television, social media; you only really see the big internet and TV stars doing things like donating to charity and participating in massive campaigns. Things like this have led us to think that only these types of people can be world changers. I’m here to tell you how wrong that is.

Anyone can be a world changer. Young or old. Girl or boy. It doesn’t matter who you are. As long as you have lived on this planet, you can change the world. There are even some people who have passed away that are still impacting our lives today. Let that sink in.

How do I do it, you may ask. It’s simple. There are just three simple steps:

Step 1: Get up!

Seriously, get up. Get off your couch, stop watching Netflix, Instagram can wait. You need to get active. Your TV will always be there. That show you’ve been watching? You can always pause, record, and re-watch it.

Step 2: Think, Dream, Believe!

I know it sounds cliché, but it’s true. You can’t do anything world-changing without thinking about what you can do first. But that also doesn’t mean you have to be totally logical. First person to travel to a different planet? Believe it! I probably sound crazy saying that. But just think, smart phones barely existed 10 years ago! Now we use them every day. But all of that wasn’t just a thought, dream, or belief. There was a lot of work put into things like that, which leads me into the third and final step.

Step 3: Do It!

Whatever you dreamed, go do it. As long as you work towards it every day, that dream will become a reality. But the mistake that people make quite often is thinking that it’ll come easy. There will be days you’ll want to give up on that dream. There’ll be days you stop believing in yourself. Whether you continue is what proves that you can.

The takeaway here is this: the book you’re about to read has been written by a group of world changers. The kids who’ve partaken in this book are innovators, problem-solvers, and creative thinkers. I am lucky to know them as the hard-working people they are, and hope to see the amazing people they’ll become. They’ve already completed all three of the steps I’ve mentioned above. They got up, thought up their ideas for their stories, and put together something great. And you? You are about to be able to witness the work of artists. The most creative ideas and thoughts are in the pages to follow.  The work of world changers.  Enjoy!
