How to Enlarge Instruction Diagrams
Occasionally, in the instructions, you will find a diagram printed on a grid; this is to help you draw the required shape to the correct size. The following notes explain how to use the grid.
1. On the printed grid you will see the size of one square marked by arrows. This is the size each square must be when you draw your grid.
2. First mark out the correct number of upright lines near the top of your paper or card and then do the same near the bottom.
3. Pencil in the upright lines using a ruler to keep them straight.
4. Use a set square to draw the top line of your grid. Place the ruler against it if it is not big enough.
5. Measure out the correct number of horizontal lines starting with the one you have just drawn, then pencil them in.
6. Now draw the shape onto your grid square by square. As an example, go back to drawing No. 1. You will see that the outline starts on the second square down. It goes horizontally across two squares, begins to go up on the third square, then goes right up into the top line at the fourth square and so on.
