MATERIALS

• 40 x 90cm (16 x 36in) light brown wool felt (body)
• 10cm (4in) square of light pink wool felt (inner ears)
• 12.5cm (5in) square of darker pink wool felt (flowers)
• 7.5cm (3in) squares of wool felt in assorted colours (flowers and leaves). Fiona used gold, light blue, cream, purple, pale pink, light green and dark green
• Two 1cm (⅜in) light green wool felt balls
• 30 x 90cm (12 x 36in) pink check print fabric (dress)
• Machine sewing thread to match the felts and fabric
• Perle 8 thread to match the light brown felt
• Stranded embroidery floss to match all the felt colours plus dark brown and gold
• 75cm (30in) of 3cm (1¼in) wide pale pink grosgrain ribbon
• 30cm (12in) hat elastic
• Polyester toy filling
• 6cm (2½in) of 2cm (¾in) wide hook and loop tape (Velcro)
• 12cm (5in) doll needle
• Bodkin
• Erasable fabric-marking pen and sharp 4B pencil
• Tracing paper
• Stiff paper and freezer paper (patterns)
• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
• Sewing machine with ¼in foot
• General sewing supplies

Stitches used:

Backstitch, cross stitch, French knot, ladder stitch, straight stitch, whipstitch

Finished size:

44cm (17¼.in)

Note: Read all the instructions before starting the project. Seam allowances of ¼in are used throughout, unless otherwise
