About this ebook

Kennedy didn’t want Marcus seeing her interest in what he was doing. She turned to walk a little further into the foyer to give him the privacy he might need. As she turned, she wasn’t watching where she was going hitting something solid blocking the doorway. She looked a long way up into the face of the stranger she’d seen passing her home on a motorcycle that day.
“Excuse me,” she apologized in an agitated tone.
“No, excuse me for almost tripping you.” He had a hold on her arms to steady her.
She felt a strange vibration run through her body at his strong, but gentle touch. There was no reason she should feel this way, although it wasn’t an unpleasant sensation.
“Didn’t I see you today with several motorcycle riders?” she asked still gazing up into his midnight stare. Why in the world did I ask him that? She wondered.
“Yes, you did and there’s no way I could forget you,” he admitted in a husky tone that sent shivers down her spine.
For the longest time he continued to hold her arms in a light grip keeping her only inches from his dark face. A strange thought passed through her mind in the next instant. Her silent thoughts were on how those lips of his would feel covering hers.
Something was taking over her body that she had no control over. The wanton feeling encompassed her, seeming very foreign to her. Another thought filed her head as before. This man was off limits. He belonged to the rough crowd of motorcycle riders.
Kennedy,” she heard her name called from behind her.
Marcus stepped alongside her and the stranger. He gave Kennedy a quizzical look as he took in how the man was holding her arms. “I was wondering where you walked off to.”

    Chapter One

Kennedy Fallinni lived in a small rented house on the outskirts of the city and traveled to work every day by car to her job. She had only worked a half day and was in her living room when the loud sound of motorcycle engines filled the air. Several bikers were riding through the less populated area of Northern Illinois just west of Chicago. She stepped out onto the porch to watch them pass by. The black jacketed men were being escorted out of town by three sheriffs’ cars following close behind.

Kennedy stood watching and realized that whatever had taken place in the small rural community just east of her home must not have been good since the police were making sure the bikers left town.

Her voluptuous figure was made noticeable by the afternoon rays of sun covering her. She had changed when she got home and dressed in cutoff jeans and a polo shirt that rested tightly against her full breasts as her long blonde hair trailed its way down her back.

While she watched the riders, her interest was caught and held by one of the bikers. For some reason he stood out from the rest looking muscular and rugged in the black jacket covering his wide shoulders. She couldn’t help but notice the tight jeans that covered his muscular thighs. His dark hair looked too long, but she figured this was part of a motorcycle club member’s getup.

Before she could look away, she found him glancing in her direction. His dark gaze riveted on her and eventually locked fully with her green stare. She tried looking away, but it was almost an impossible task as if some inner force dared her to look away. Something silently passed between them and she felt the vibrations spread through her body.

It couldn’t have been more than a short span of time, but it was enough for the dark hunky stranger to make an impression on her.

She would have liked to find out more about him, but it was silly thinking this way. She would probably never see him again, but the stranger had set her mind working overtime in wanting the chance to meet him. That seemed impossible. Another thought filled her head that this dark biker was off limits to her and she should forget him. He was more than likely someone that led a rough life and there was no way she’d fit in.

As the street became empty again, she sighed and walked inside. The image of the man remained embedded in her mind even though she tried to erase the picture of him from her thoughts. She glanced at the clock and noticed it was getting late. Marcus Reynolds had asked her
