About this ebook
G's: Where beauty in death, is a requirement.
In the first book of this duology we ventured into the deadly G.A.M.E.Z. along with Mayla and Denton who teamed up with Riley, the self-professed Choreographer out to make Champions.
But how did she come to be at the G's? What brought her there seemly prepared to take the duo to The Top? Just who is the girl behind the precise routines and harsh training? And what made her seek The Title with such zeal?
This is her story.
May the G.A.M.E.Z. begin.

Please note this can be read as a standalone but is best enjoyed as a story between books one and two of the duology.

Ennui - E Darkwood
What is this?
This is a fiction book in the genre of 'teen and young adult' that is part of a series, but , you don't need to have read the first book in the duology to enjoy this one. The added context however, would certainly enhance this tale.
By reading this book, you will be taken to the world of Zanarik known throughout its universe for being the originator of the deadly G.A.M.E.Z. and you will also learn of Riley and her involvement with them.
If that premise sounds interesting to you, then this is the book for you. If it doesn't appeal to you, then you might consider looking into another title, perhaps even another by this author. There are many possibilities.
Thank you for reading.

Ennui takes place on a planet
in many ways much like Earth,
but on Zanarik magic is part of everyday life.
Day 322
Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to curl up and cry?
Me neither.
But, I maybe wish I'd had one.
Ms. Stile.
Sharply calls the teacher snapping my attention to the front.
I look at her waiting face; with the slightest outward indication of it I peek at the board behind her.
Three hundred and twelve point three.
I diligently answer.
The teacher looks back at me and she pushes her glasses back onto her face while she makes a thinly veiled attempt to keep her scowl to a minimum.
Correct.
She replies after a breath, sounding none to pleased to admit it but then she smoothly brushes it off and turns to her next potential detention.
And as soon as she's off my case, I feel the very tentative edges of a smirk tickling my face while I casually turn to the last page of my notebook and add a mark to my growing tally.
Thirteen to zero, and the season's not even half over.
I'm walking to my next class when the growing sounds of an excited crowd turn my head in their direction.
I follow the sound trail and I find myself walking into a viewing auditorium. Thinking this is nothing new, I start to turn back when suddenly the room goes completely silent.
I quirk an eyebrow and turn to the screen.
My eyes widen.
Flames.
BOOOMM!!
Absolutely everyone in attendance reacts to the ear-shattering explosion, some duck, some shriek and a few even try to pretend they are unaffected by sitting there and covering their flinch with some limb or other, but not me.
I gaze at the decimated field enthralled and with little to no consent on my part, I feel myself take a seat.
Team Pu'tar Penali unable to continue. Match over.
Declares the announcer into the blazing aftermath.
The view shifts to pan over the bewildered crowd at the G.A.M.E.Z. and then it focuses on the Queens, who as if sensing the recorder's presence strike one of their most elaborate poses; reawakening the stunned witnesses. Both those there and here.
"What a conclusion we've just seen here today at the 148th Finals!" Exclaims the commentator struggling to be heard over the revived crowd.
"Sure was Timon, what a year! Team Keclar being disqualified, and Team Soni sliding in for a tie to Team Quasar Brontix winning in less than five seconds. But let's be honest here, even will all the unbelievable things we've seen on this very field; we don't need to see the scores to know that Team Lightning has this one in the bag." Quips his fellow commentator to which the first answers with a laugh and so I tune them out in favor of fire.
I scrutinize the field until I land on the pair. My eyes go from the almost imperceptible shake in Dash's fingers, to the extra spark in Kill's eyes.
They're trying to hide it, but, they're rattled.
I peek at the final scores and their disparity leads me to only more questions.
My gaze then wanders back to the unextinguished flames; the unobstructed view of the entire field.
Fire. I silently repeat to myself as my fingers itch to reach into my bag for something to write on. But I'm too entranced to pay them much mind, after all, who am I to rush think on the impossible?...
When I can savor it?
Day 328 Y3
Iwake up sweating , the feeling of heat is so intense it's almost as if the sea of flames I had been in seconds ago had somehow followed me into the waking world.
I struggle to sit up in bed then I slowly run my hands over my face as the inferno's grip fades back into dreams.
When I finally cool, I let out a long breath and get up to go to the bathroom. Once there, I splash cold water on my face and curl my
