About this series
**Everybody knows it's either sticks and snails and puppy dog tails or sugar and spice and everything nice.
But is it a fair game if there are only two choices?**
Midnight; a magical hour but there's only one night a year when it happens twice.
It's been agreed that the clock is changed across the globe but is it also agreed that the occasion is special?
Judge for yourself because anyone who stays up to see the hour rewind can be welcomed into the Game Of The Hour Lounge where for an hour (hence the name) you can roam to your heart's desire.
Play once, twice, a hundred times you can wager as many chips as you can create. Win a bear the size of your house, spend your hour at the buffet or chat the time away with the other players. Do whatever you like! The choice is yours.
But beware if you don't play *and be more aware* if you do.
You won't miss it, but it might miss you.
Crow and their sister Trisha are about to experience the once-a-year midnight and all that comes with it. Will they survive the hour?
Step right up, place your bets!
-
A short standalone story about sisterhood, identifying as nonbinary and how one might affect the other.
Who knew coming out of daylight saving time could be so exciting?

Every life is different. Every life has meaning. The world is full. Full of laugher, full of life, full of anger and full of spite. What keeps those things from mixing together? What keeps it all from spiraling into oblivion? Joe is your average guy. He goes to school, he goes to work and he paddles through that confusing sea called life; every stroke a lesson. Some moves are easy, some are hard, and some are a miracle. But if there's one thing that Joe has learned it's that **the important thing** is to keep his eyes open and make the most of the ride. But some strokes bring unprecedented questions. What makes Joe, Joe? What makes someone special? Is it having super powers? Is it saving the world once for everyone? Or multiple times for only someone? Or could it maybe be something like just being a good friend? Who decides what is special? God? This is the story of an ordinary guy who is nothing special but still tries. In life. In love. In, just being Joe.

**Everybody knows girls don't skate.** There once was a boy who had four best friends. The five of them might have bonded over skating but that love helped spark a lifelong friendship that only got stronger when they were lucky enough to have kids, then they knew they'd completely lucked out when their kids became best friends too. But what was even better than that? All the kids inherited their love of the sport. "Boards for life!!" Shouted the youngest of their pack even when she fell off her board but that never stopped little Nina. No, she was determined to have the bestest and fastest skating in all the park, if only her Daddy would take her already! This is the story of a girl and her best friends. A story about friendship and what growing up can mean. Though if you asked teen Nina, it might go something like this: "What is the majority? Where is it and how do I join up? Cus let me tell you being "the odd guy out" blows! So somebody better start talking. - A standalone coming of age story featuring skaters, haters and soccer players, oh my.

Enter an Academy that teaches all how to harness their magic. In a school that aims to bring out your unique powers a fire user with no flame, a kid with chaotic energy and a guy who isn't the same height from one day to another, might sound like a tall order, yet it's really only another day in the life. What actually doesn't help the struggling best friends is that The Unstoppable Heir of the Spirits, who everybody "just so happens" to steer clear of, has decided he wants the trio O-U-T out. They don't know why, they sure as cauldrons don't know how, but neither Ran, nor Dew nor Scorch have found a way to stop The King once and for all. And he's all but said he'll do anything to see them go. Three dubiously able magic students and a school bully. What could possibly go wrong?

**Everybody knows boys don't bake.** Do you have an innocuous job or pastime? Do you have charisma, flair and do others have a generally good opinion of you? Do you crave recognition, popularity, or notoriety? Are you fearless? Do you also have a patriotic need to serve regardless of personal sacrifice? *wait, wha-?* One out of those five is all we need, welcome to the exciting world of spies! It's every man for himself but your country forever thanks you. *WAIT! Where are you taking me?! I never said yes!!* - A standalone story about a décorateur who was thrown tempered chocolate first into espionage, without so much as a marzipan knife! But if there's someone out there who knows how to make something work out of the strangest of ingredients, it's King — the one and only man anywhere that makes wondrous part cake, part machine creations. Who makes lemonade when you can make lemon meringue with a twist? And if sometimes you're out of out choices as how to hide a bomb so you just scoop up the random chunks of what-the-color-suggests-was-fondant-but-judging-by-its-hardness-you're-not-completely-sure-is-even-edible-anymore and you sprinkle them around as artful camouflage, then that's just what you do! It's brutal out there, so check your doubts at the door — everything you do *is on purpose* and **magnificent.** Baking sorts out the men from the boys. 3...2...1...Piping bags at the ready?!
