    Introduction

I remember someone prophesying in 2013 or 2014 that there was a book in me. I didn’t know what to do with that, so I said, Okay, and forgot about it. I really never thought I would journal my thoughts, much less publish them. I had stared at publishing from a distance, wondering how people did it. I used to believe that only degreed theologians, the educated, or professionals had the appropriate credentials that qualified them to publish—thereby disqualifying me. Odd how we/I can cling to these ideas. Yet as I continued to experience new areas of life, I saw how technology has made many things, including writing a book, easier and more accessible to those who desire and persist. It was time for my old built-in thinking to go.

Holy Spirit can show up unexpectedly (at least, that is my experience and perspective) and reveal something magnificent about you and about the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). In 2018, the thought came to me, Why don’t you put all your notes down in a book and use that to teach when you teach or testify to people or groups? I thought it was a great idea. Then I started asking Holy Spirit more questions about how this book would change my life and that of others if I wrote it. I started wrapping some teachings around the encounters I was having. The possibility of publishing everything became very real when Holy Spirit focused me in on another generation coming up behind me.

I want to meet them with God’s prophetic voice, honor, love, and truth. A book is one of the mediums of conveying His character, ways, virtues, and thoughts of us and His kingdom. And a book can go places I may not. That thought is the one that propelled me to action.

This book contains my personal testimony through dreams, visions, and encounters with the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. As you read them, I pray that revelation and wisdom be released and His presence increased in your heart and mind. His Word makes us alive, transforming us and the world around us by sharing what God sees in others and says about them.

His love for us is truly brilliant.

    Experiencing

    Something New!

    A whole new world

I came out of the world system at twelve years old (by faith through grace, saying yes to Jesus, and becoming a new creation). I stepped into the church realm and for many years learned the basic doctrines, end-time theology, the sacraments, the major and minor stories and characters of the Old and New Testaments, the types and shadows of Jesus in the Old Testament, and a little about the gifts and callings. I was developing my theology of God, which is the study of God.

During some of my early years (my twenties through my forties), I was not aware of anything supernatural except what I saw on TV or heard from someone else. I had no grid or context for a seer, prophet, miracle worker, or healer, even though they are found throughout the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Life just went on. I had a good job, focused on making good life decisions, and prepared for a rainy day or my later years. Thankfully, Holy Spirit gives us a light for each step we take, and He lights a pathway for us to see further down the road. He gives new revelation to us. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path (Psalm 119:105 NIV). Whether He is lighting our footsteps or our pathway, Daddy God is a good, good Father. God was talking to me all along, but I didn’t have an intimate, trusting relationship with Him, nor did I give much value to what He was doing in me and through others. I had learned to be more focused on productivity and leadership instead of understanding what God thought of me or what He wanted me to know about Him. I thought about things I should be doing all the time. I was a very busy person, trying to please Him and get a better career by doing stuff I thought mattered.

"A lover of God will always outwork a worker for God." — Bill Johnson

    The shift

Suddenly, in 2009, everything seemed to shift. I encountered heaven/the supernatural realm. I was about to find out just how real and tangible God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and heaven are.

A mind-changing moment was when I heard Him give me direction and strategies for my next season. A wind blew inside me, and He said Go now. Life has been such a great joy, no matter what, ever since.

As a believer, I carry and host the spirit of God and have the mind of Christ, which is my/our inheritance. Holy Spirit makes Himself known to our spirit in different ways. We choose to receive His truth. His Word and His spirit show us how to belong, mature in character, and steward His kingdom. This is just some of the good news. I am a new creation in Christ, and He is transforming how I see the nature of my Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit; they are one functioning as three. It’s the greatest mystery ever, and yet we are invited to know Him. I am learning to always practice His presence: I love learning to sense, see, smell, taste, hear, and respond to the move of Holy Spirit. We are certainly on a journey with Him. I don’t get everything right all the time, but this does not worry Jesus. He knows how to deal with messes, and He loves to see us grow, be transformed, and affect the world around us with His powerful love. Jesus came to make dead people live—the new, living body of Christ.

All things become new in Christ

Church is the word translated from ekklesia in Greek. It means called out. The called-out ones include Jews and Gentiles—a people referred to throughout the Old and New Testaments. Whether a remnant (as referred to in the Old Testament) or the church (in the New Testament), we are today’s church of around two-and-a-half billion people. In Christ, we are a part of the same body, with Jesus as the head. We have all become new in Him and still have our unique personalities we were born with.

I learned there is only one way to enter into a real life with Jesus, and that’s through repentance. The word repentance comes from the Greek word metanoia, which actually means the changing of my mind. I went through a shift from what I had been taught or personally experienced. God’s kingdom is in stark contrast to the world’s views. It was a challenge at times, and called for me to reevaluate many of my beliefs and look at where they came from. Some of my beliefs about myself were not what God was thinking or saying to me. I was not discarding everything I had
