    Preface

This book is as a result of an inspiration I received from the Holy Spirit for the message I preached in 2011. The spirit of the Lord impressed upon my heart that there is so much pain on earth caused by disappointments of various form and that He has made available His healing power to heal the many hearts that are hurting, feeling angry and bitter. This is being suffered by many people around the world both Christians and non-Christians. I remember a brother walking to me after hearing the message preached and said to me please let me have a copy of the book of this message when it is published.

The message in this book seeks to deal with the nature of disappointments and the form it takes. This is the subject of chapter 1. Disappointments arise from various sources. In this book you will discover a number of sources of disappointments, the manner it happens so you will know how to deal with its effects.

Chapter 2 addresses the causes of disappointments. In this chapter you will know about the number of things that have the potential to cause disappointments in a person’s life.

Chapter 3 deals with hope. Hope’s failure is what results in disappointments. You will learn about the importance of hope in a person’s life and how to maintain your hope in order to achieve your life goals. You will learn about the various types of hopes that a person may have, the failure of which can cause disappointment.

Chapter 4 continues the subject of hope and what happens when hope fails in a person’s life. You will learn about the failure of hope and how you can effectively come out successfully from any failure of your hope.

Chapter 5 covers the effects of the failure of hope. These are the ‘silent killers’ that eat away a person’s joy, commitment, faithfulness, peace and ambitions. From this chapter you will learn about what happens to the heart of a person whose hope has failed and how you can begin to receive your healing from these effects.

Chapter 6 deals with the effects of disappointments. This chapter offers both practical and spiritual ways to deal with the various effects of disappointments. There is a wealth of scriptural references to help you to deal with your disappointments. You will also learn about other areas of disappointments which may be so devastating and how you can gradually overcome them.

Chapters 7 & 8 provide scriptures and prayer outline designed to help you to pray and effect self-deliverance from the hurts, pain including the anger, bitterness that you may have in your heart as a result of disappointment.

Chapter 9 covers practical advice on how to learn lessons from the various forms of disappointments. This is aimed at helping you to pick yourself up again and begin to take the necessary steps to achieve your God given dreams.

This book is written to accomplish three purposes:

    1) to help those who are suffering, hurting and living with pain, heartache and bitterness from disappointments to be healed from the harmful effects of this ‘silent killer’.

    2) to help in restoring broken relationships, families that have been torn apart as a result of disappointments and

    3) to encourage those who have given up on their God given dreams to rise up and pursue them again with renewed sense of purpose and hope believing that it is not over until God says so. For it is said that where there is hope, there can be faith, and where there is faith, miracles can occur. Look forward to your miracles and breakthrough as you read through the pages of this book.
