    Q uestions, questions, questions, grumbles Stephanie, sounding like she is going to huffle-puff any minute. I only want to learn, says Olivia sadly.

    The 2 little girls who live in the yellow house near the top of the hill on a very busy road are in their back yard playing. They have just come home from school and pre-school and want to run around before it gets too late and the mosquitoes starting biting.

    Do you know that the mosquitoes love Olivia? Unless Mummy puts on some mosquito repellent, Olivia gets bitten very badly – and gets big red lumps all over her arms, legs, back – in fact anywhere the mosquitoes can find a bit of juicy skin to bite. Stephanie doesn’t miss out – she also gets bitten, but not quite as badly as her little sister.

    Olivia is asking questions about how the new little daisy got in the garden. Steph is trying to explain although she isn’t really sure herself. What are we going to call the new flower, asks Olivia. Hmmm, good question Livi – what do you think we should call it? They think and think, then Steph suggests, How about we call it Minnie? But it’s not a mouse! laughs Livi.

    Both of the girls start to giggle at the thought of a mouse growing in their garden then Steph tells Livi that if something is minnie, it means that it is small. Why don’t we call it Smally suggests Livi. "That sounds a bit funny, I think, but maybe we could call
