Penalope Woodsberry: Part 2
()
About this ebook
The author has written a book filled with a blend of fictional and nonfictional memories. As Hope lived her life, she listened, watched, and remembered stories of people, places, and times. She has continued her story of the little girl with the magical mark and her special friend named Penalope from the magical forest.
The story starts with her recollections of a young girl that becomes involved with a strange middle-aged rabbit lady. Penalope had been trying for a hundred years to wish her into the magical forest. Only those who have "the mark" can see or hear Penalope as she tells her strange and unusual stories.
Hope describes the magical box that the little girl secretly kept her five little fairies in throughout her childhood and the love she had for them. Now the little girl has grown into a young lady who has secretly left her mother's house behind and must find Penalope once again. Penalope is able to know her wishes and is once again able to find her, but this time, she is alone and is sleeping on a bench in a beautiful park. She finds herself wished back into the magical forest and hears more wonderful stories and drinks Penalope's magical honeysuckle tea.
Once again, she is sprinkled by the good spirit and gains strength before going back to the human's world and starting her long and often dangerous journey. The little girl is suddenly back in the park and now meets up with three unusual friends. They join her long mysterious journey as they listen for directions from the "whispers in the wind" and are warned not to follow the fake messages and evil humming made by the tree frog that wants to capture the five little fairies.
The dangerous journey was filled with surprises as they listened for the "wind's whispers" to direct them to the right path. Penalope has sent some friends from the magical forest to help the little girl find "the fishing pond" and the big old house with the blue roof!
Hope wrote this book for the young and young at heart and hopes you are captivated by the characters and fictional path the story is based on...or was it?

Introduction
Many years have gone by since I heard many stories about the little girl. It was always just bits and pieces of her quiet, lonely life that circulated around the neighborhood for many years.
Sometimes as sleep overtakes my mind in the darkness of the night, I relive magical memories of years gone by. I remember the day I stood face to face with her as she cuddled a lost kitten and sang a magical melody to a small flock of wild birds sitting overhead on a tree limb. I remember the quiet and serious but gentle look upon her face and a strange mark in one of her green eyes that I had heard about from others but had never seen.
So the memories of her mysterious life come and go like the wind before a summer storm. Still, the thoughts and questions remain, and the stories must be penned as I recall them and possibly awaken another who, like myself, has many unusual memories of a person and place and a special story or two to tell.
Chapter 1
The Little Girl Grows Up
Her childhood was disappearing, and the little girl was yearning to leave her mother's house. Her beloved little friend Sweetie had long since been buried in a wooden box in her yard. He had been perhaps the only real friend she had while living in that home. He seemed to understand whatever she told him and would sneak in and out without anyone else in the house even knowing. Living in the corner of a dark attic room was almost frightening at times, but suddenly the doorknob would turn and the door would creak open and in would walk her special little furry friend. There on the end of her bed, he slept until the first signs of another day would appear. A small slice of morning sun would creep through the cracks in the window glass, and the darkness would begin to turn into day.
Thinking about all the hard times and lonely times and the sad times that she had
