Preface
This book is dedicated to my granddaughter Leila, whose creative enthusiasm and vivid imagination inspired me to change my writing genre and write a children’s book.
The concept first came to light when we were sat in a well known coffee shop after taking her to a school cross country run.
I ordered my usual extra hot, extra shot, short cappuccino and she ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles.
Now it might have been the adrenaline from just doing a cross country run or the sugar content of the hot chocolate but Leila started talking enthusiastically about a fairy she dreamed about that visited children’s gardens.
After slowing her down a little so I could keep up with her energy and understand the concept, I asked her did she write any of it down. Her answer was no but she told her mother about it and she said she would write it down for her.
When I spoke to my daughter as other busy mothers may testify, she couldn’t really remember the story and didn’t have time to write it down.
You're a writer,
she said. "Can you write a book for her? Although I had 2 other books on the go, I decided to change my whole writing genre and try my first children’s book.
"I now have to thank my daughter and my granddaughter, because writing this book has made me open up my own childish mind again and experience the wonders of imagination where anything can happen.

Sad Sarah
In a magical forest far, far away, the tiny residents go about their daily lives spreading love and magic, making it a better place for everyone. The forest is a wondrous and enchanting place, where the trees stand so tall and majestic that they seem to pierce the deep blue sky. The air is fresh and clean, filled with the sweet scent of wildflowers and evergreens. As you enter the forest, soft glowing fireflies twinkle and dance around the trees, leading you deeper and deeper into this enchanting place. Bright green luscious grass carpets the forest floor and cushions your feet as you walk, while a rainbow of beautiful flowers sway in the cool breeze as if dancing to silent music.
Along the many winding paths, you will discover hidden clearings filled with mystical creatures such as: Fairies, Pixies, Unicorns and Centaurs, all happily going about their individual duties. The fairies with their delicate features and magical powers, rule the village and are
