Author

Stephanie Reghenzani

I have written a number of books (5 and 2 unfinished), however this is the first to be published. I am 48 years and have many chapters in my own life. I have done nursing, have brought up 2 children and I have been a university student for many years. At the age of 44 I became a primary school teacher. I discovered my passion for writing children’s stories in 2010. It all began when my daughter, Stephanie, who was 8 at the time, and I made up a story. It was then that I put pen to paper and together we came up with “Rose and Jypsy’s Big Apple Adventure.” Rose is Stephanie’s middle name and Jypsy is actually our little red dog.

    PROLOGUE

This story came about when my family and I were away from home for three weeks. I was doing some work experience as a teacher (after 9 years of study). My 14-year-old son was doing home schooling, while my 8-year-old daughter Stephanie attended the school I was working at.

In the evenings my daughter and I went to bed early so we could be fresh for school the next day. Now, after a few early nights, Stephanie wanted me to tell her a story. So, together we began this story about Rose and Jypsy. Rose is actually Stephanie’s middle name and Jypsy is in fact, our little red dog. As the story continued over several evenings I began to think this was a nice little story and so I decided to put pen to paper. This meant starting at the beginning and getting Stephanie to remind me of some of the details. It also meant adding and changing a few things to make it fun and interesting to read.

Stephanie is 11 years old now and who knows what new adventure Rose and Jypsy may find themselves in next.

It was a summer’s day when a new family: a mum, her 10-year-old daughter – Rose and a little dog called Jypsy, move into a new home on the outskirts of a little country town. Their house was a good two hundred meters from a road that lead to town one way and the countryside the other. After settling into their new home Rose decided to explore her new surroundings. So, she grabbed Jypsy who was a small reddish dog and set off down a long windy path she found just outside the back gate.

After a short distance Rose decided to
